I'll just post this one message instead of posting a million responses. The UK patch has entered test and shall be released shortly. When exactly that is, I have no idea. After OSI is done with it, EAHQ gets a stab, then EAUK. Once all three outfits sign off, about a day later it goes up. The French and German patches are currently being translated, so once that's complete, it goes through the same process. No dates currently, but as soon as we can. It should take a lot less time that v2.0, since we don't need to copy protect the executable. Accordingly, the v3.0 executable will do-away with the copy protection. jkm firaxis games |

It will "Do away with the copy protection"? Does that mean network games with only one CD? |

Will this solve all the problems that UK users have been experiencing? On my computer when I run the game it just does nothing, not even checking the CD is in, but when I press ALT-CTRL-DEL terran.exe is running in the backround. I have a DVD drive and I have heard that the copy protection on the CD causing problems on some CD drives and DVD drives. |

If you have a Gateway or Tiny computer, that DVD problem can be solved by downloading drivers from their webpages. Yeah, the copy protection being removed will allow you to play multiplayer games with only the Host having the CD in the drive. jkm firaxis games |

You can also play an Ipx game when you are inserting the CD in each computer's CD drive at the startup, can't you? |

Jeffreys advice re Tiny is good, my Tiny Win98 P350 with DVD leaves manages to leave Terran.exe running and does nowt. Trouble is cant find any updates for the Has anyone else solved this or any other possible causes of the error. LJD |
