I started a multiplayer game on our LAN using TCP/IP and SMAC with the 3.0 Patch.
The game begin with the variable starting base even though I did not set that option.
The game plays with fast combat, and I did not set that option either. The game also does not produce prototypes of new tech. even though it is requested. Is this a feature of the multiplayer game? Or is there a problem that needs to be fixed? Please let me know.

Many features are forced to expedite MP games, regardless of the preferences.

Is that why I can't save without exiting in hotseat, no matter how I set up the options?

I got a quick one too, about MP games. Are moving and monuments forced off in MP games? I noticed they worked wonderfully in single player, but not multi. Is it forced off to overall speed up turns? 'Cause it is a neato thing, that monument..Reminds me of the Throne Room, which was really fun..Did I even spell that right? Bah!

Monuments and movies are off. I assume they're off becuase the other players don't want to sit around waiting while you watch clouds and Deidre Skye blathers on about Planet whenever you build, say, the Weather Paradigm.
