Everytime I try to install the patch 2.0 or 3.0 I get a errormessage. "Cannot locate old file". Tried the suggestions in this forum but no change. What am I doing wrong here?

Is there some version that the patches can�t upgrade. Bought the game in sweden. Think it is a US version, but don�t know where to check wich version it is. Help needed!!!

I would like an answer...pretty please :-)

Well, unfortunately I can't help you, since I have exactly the same problem myself. However, to check the version, you should find a menu item called "display program version" or something similar on the game's "start menu".

I bought my game in Scandinavia too (Norway), so it's probably the UK version, although this is not stated anywhere in the docs.

Nice to know that I�m not all alone with this problem. If I have the UK-version. Can I download terran.exe for US-users somewhere and then make the upgrade to 3.0?

Not sure if that would work or if I�m breaking some law if I do that. Well, well, time will tell.

Make sure you're installing into the same directory your installed to. It defaults to c:\program files\firaxis games\sid meier's alpha centauri, so if you installed elsewhere, browse to that location. You might reinstall as well to ensure all the files are "fresh". If none of that works, I'd download the virus checker from www.mcafee.com. CIH and other nasty virus modify .exe files, which would probably freak CTPatch out.
