Was just wondering,aftering doing a full install of SMAC y do i still need to use the disc?.Any help would be appreciated.

I did a full install and do not have to use the disk, you get a message saying disc is not in drive, if you did a full install you can proceed. I'm not sure but I think this is only possible with U.S. versions.

Ahhhh i have the UK version thats probably y thx.

I hear you may be able to do this for UK/French/German versions too once v. 3.0 is available.

What I would like is a registry setting added on install that signifies if a full-install has been done or not. I hate getting the dialog "CD was not found. Some things will not work unless this is a full install." (paraphrased of course , when I have a full installation.

Minor irritation.
