The following crash... I'm not sure what it's trying to do, it's after the end of the turn before I get up to go again. I was not seeing any messages of another's secret project almost done, etc. The system is a P2/350, 64m, complete installation using the 2.0 version downloaded from the board. The illegal operation is copied below... Yes, this is reproduceable, yes I've tried modifying what I'm doing to get around it... it's stopped that particular game cold. (And I've seen similar errors in the past, at various technology levels, in the game that has likewise killed those games.)

This sounds like the same problem I was/am having. I tried messing around with different copies of the patches, etc, and it seemed to solve the problem partly, enough so I can actually finish a game. It still crashes, but at least it will let me continue on when I quit the game and reload an autosave.
