Author | Topic: Full (European) version fails to work under Win2K beta |

![]() ![]() ![]() I installed the game yesterday, under both NT4 and Windows 2000 build 1946. When I run terran.exe, there's some disk and CD activity, then nothing (terran.exe disappears from Task Manager as well). No error messages whatsoever. I played the demo as late as a day before installing the full version. The full demo (w/video) worked 100% under Win2K, so this leads me to believe that something changed between the demo was released and the full European version got to the stores. When playing under NT4, I'm haunted by terrible sound stuttering, so I'm kinda anxious to get the game up and working under Win2000! ;-) Oh, btw: I put the game on a 2 disk stripe set to help loading time. I'm slightly disappointed that I need to have the CD inserted for the game to start. What's the point in that? (I'm a messy person and one CD less to have on my desk is a blessing) Thanks for a great game, I hope you sort out the European version though. (what the h--- is the difference - besides the delays?!? ;-) ) -- |

![]() ![]() ![]() I should've known... Copyprotection, right? Dang. I've fired off a complaint to EA's UK tech support. Perhaps others should too? This is ridiculous! (can someone please email me the US version of terran.exe? TIA) -- |
