I managed to get voted supreme leader in the game I finished last night. The Believers went against the vote and everyone attacked them. Once I finished them off I figured I would be awarded my 1200 bonus points and the game would end as mentioned in the manual only that never happened. I finally resigned, the score screen never awarded me any bonus points for winning.
