All of the sound is quite in the game with the music more or less silent. Win 95 sound is fine. All other games are fine.
smac sound sliders are all set to maximum, showing 127 in ther .ini file
Sound card is Yamaha WF192XG with the latest drivers

I have a sound problem but not the one you mention.
My card is an Aztech Direct Sound with current drivers ----> my problem is that I experience an annoying ticking noise throughout the game constantly.
After running the directX diagnostic tool I have found out that the following settings produce a ticking:
stereo 8 bit 44khz
mono 16 bit 22khz
stereo 16 bit 44khz
3d stereo 16 bit 44khz
All other settings are ok - is there anyway to manipulate the sound so that I can utilise the settings which work or is there a fix ??
