is it possible to make clean missles? or even clean planet busters?... it seems possible when u let the computer auto-design units. but it seems impossible to delete the units, or even make them obselete.

In the last game I played (Gaians, Talent, v2.0), I seem to recall the design workshop saying that you couldn't modify missiles, so I'm guessing it's designed that way.Too bad. I was hoping for a barrage of missiles that I could store for years, consequence-free, only to rain them down upon anyone who crossed me later. |

You CAN build clean missiles. I have version 2.0... in my current game my bases have enormous missile stockpiles a la the cold war. |

hehee, just think... u can stock-pile the missles... then once someone makes u angry or tell's u this: rendering my forces practically invinsible... u can launch everything at them... |

I had the Sculders problem. The AI designed me Conventional Missiles and Planet Busters, normal and clean. I tried to make normal versions obsolete, but when I tried to select Clean Missiles, it wouln't bring them to main Workshop list. Another problem with workshop is that making units with old armor or weaponry obsolete is too slow one by one. And making old units obsolete is pretty necessary if you want to keep your building list in nice order. Or am I missing some efficient way to manage workshop? I didn't read the manual too carefully.

Yesterday I found that the Gaians had an AAA transport cruiser - but should not be possible since I can't put the AAA ability on a Cruiser with a Transport module. Also, the University claimed to have Clean Conventional Missiles - but missiles cannot have special abilities. P.S. I don't let the AI design my units - but it seems the other factions now makes some otherwise impossible units. |

i used to let the AI design my units, then i got sick of manaully retiring the obselete units, so i design units that i only need. the clean missle was when the AI was 'helping' me design them, and i also can't delete them. seems to be permanently stuck there. i don't think there's any other way of making units obselete other then manaully. |

I was playing as Gaians and was given the AAA transport skimship. I was completely unable to kill it using obsolete / retire, and I was also unable to upgrade it to something else (I didn;t have fusion power yet, tho). I also tried to opsolete / retire the missle units - no luck there, either. I've given up and letting the computer design units. It clogs up the list too much. Besides, in my last game I wiped out 2 factions with a force of artillery, mind worms, fighters, and bombers. Plus I use Isles of the Deep (combat and transport - no other workshop unit can have both) almost exclusively, except to catch my first few Isles'. No need for all the rest.
