I get these wierd green lines appearing across the screen in all my movies except for the Merchant Exchange(at least so far). My computer meets all the requirements. I have DirectX 6.0. If you could offer assistance it would be much appreciated. Other than that I would like to thank you for developing such a wonderful game.

If you have an ATI graphics card, download the latest driver from their website. Otherwise, run DXDiag.exe and look for "!" on the various pages. Also try running the tests for directdraw. If you see any problems with those, add directdraw=0 to the alpha centauri.ini file. The readme.txt contains other troubleshooting tweaks that may help.

I do not have an ATI video card. I have a S3 Vision968 PCI. I ran the DXDiag.exe and their were a few question marks, but what can I do about that. Also I looked at the DirectDraw test and it seemed fine, but when I looked at the alpha centauri.ini file and I didn't see any "DirectDraw=" line. All I saw was the following:

Thank you for your quick reply before. I know your busy improving and building more games. I hope this information is helpful.

Just add that directdraw=0 line to the alpha centauri.ini file. Also, the S3 chipset is very common in ATI cards. Look for new drivers.

Thanks, I didn't know that. I got the new drivers that were released recently and they work great. I look forward to watching all the movies the way they were meant to be seen. Once more I just wanted to thank you for such quick assistance.
