I just got the CD and immediately installed the enhancement. But when I load a save game from 2200 it tells me the game is over!

Are you sure you're playing the full? Might as well uninstall the demo anyways..

I uninstalled the demo, defraged the hard drive, installed the typical load off the CD, and then ran the updater. Then I started the game for the first time, and I still can't open any game that was saved in 2200. Otherwise everything appears to be fine. It says Release 2.0 and the game I've started anew is fine. Though for some reason the menu item Auto Build Mag-Tubes is blackened out and won't work, though the shortcut does work. Also, though I've seen this mentioned before, the Empath Guild does not give you an infiltrator in the other factions.

You would probably have better luck with a demo game from 2199.

I had the same problem but the fix(?) is easy
-After al those screen of youre retirement the game asks if want to quit or play a couple of turns just select play a couple and you of again.
(this is not my locked up game, not jet anyway)
