Topic: Disappearing Unity Pod when disengaging

Here's one that just happened to me a little while ago:I had a salvaged Unity Rover roaming about, and it ran into a Mindworm boil. I attacked it, and during the combat my Rover disengaged. Well, it retreated into a square with an unexamined Unity Pod, and the Pod disappeared completely without being explored. I'm trying to repeat it, but it's hard to line up the proper ingredients (multi-move unit which can disengage doing so and just happening to choose the one square with the Pod) just right.

We'll look at it, but the pod may have given you energy or comm frequencies. It's conceivable you might have just missed the message.jkm firaxis games |

I don't believe it gave me anything, but it is entirely conceivable that I missed it. Still trying to repeat it. |

Yup, it's a bug. I've repeated it successfully on several occasions with a hacked save game I threw together. An unexplored Pod definitely disappears when a unit disengages on top of it.I've tossed an e-mail off to you, Jeffrey, with a copy of the save game I used to repeat the problem. BTW, SMAC save games compress very nicely. 8) |

Final follow-up on this.I received an e-mail back from Jeffrey, and he confirmed that it definitely is a bug. Something to be stomped out in the next patch. BTW, Firaxis support rules. Go man go! |
