One thing...
When I get those "Secrets of..." technologies (Secrets of Creation, Secrets of Alpha Centauri), they always show up as "Secrets of the Human Brain" on that 'Pyramid of Progress'-thingee which pops up to tell you when you do something wonderful.
The text says so, and I believe that the image is also the same for all (though this might be the way it's supposed to be).
If you can't repeat this, let me know and I'll send a saved game (can I do that??)

I also have had this bug happen while playing my first (and only) game as UoP on Citizen level.

This isn't a bug. It says, for instance, "University researchers discover Secrets of the Human Brain! Other secrets discovered in 2418 and 2485", or something similar. It doesn't update the text in the pyramid to say WHICH other secrets you've discovered, it just says that you have discovered other secrets. So when you discover Secrets of Creation, it simply adds the year you discovered it to the SotHB entry on the pyramid. Ditto for Secrets of Alpha Centauri.
So it's not a bug per se, just the way that pyramid entry was designed (poorly, imho)
