I installed the Demo version and after removing it (via Unistall option) and then installing the retail version, the retail version still acts like the demo. (ie. don't have access to all parts of game, and demo dialog box appears once you arrive at the main menu). Any suggestions as to where this information is stored and how to correct it? TIA |

Weird. The demo installs (unless you changed it) to c:\program files\firaxis games\sid meier's alpha centauri demo. Run the terran.exe in the c:\program files\firaxis games\sid meier's alpha centauri and see what happens. Otherwise, uninstall both, delete the c:\program files\firaxis games folder entirely (unless you have SMG) and install just the retail. jkm firaxis games |

Just a thought. I too uninstalled with the demo uninstaller and it left a BUNCH of folders and files. Did you make a new game desktop shotcut icon, or are you still using the one from the demo? If you are it's pointing to the wrong place, and the old .exe file from the demo may have survived the uninstall. Snoman |
