In the Multiplayer setup screen under TIME CONTROLS you can click on CUSTOM ... it then is supposed to let you set up your own time parameters ... however, I always get 20 or 3 +3 ... there is no way to change them.

The time limits definately are WAY too short, so custom limits are needed otherwise we just have to play with NO time controls (probably the best anyway).

You can change them. During the brief time that I was able to play (before the game kept freezing) I think that I double clicked on it or clicked on the numbers or something but I could change the settings no problem. I changed it to something like 60 sec.

Correct ... you are SUPPOSED to be able to change them.

But in my case, the box to change them never came up (thus I cannot change them).

Maybe you should go on a click fest?
