I began a game with the Hive and after many turns have passed, taken a pretty big chunk of land. With all these cities, comes inefficiency. In the 2.0 readme.txt, it says the Hive now has immunity from negative Efficiency effects, so I switch the Planned over to Green economics, but my Efficiency number does not improve. I also had a Police State in affect, normally cancelling out the Green economics Efficiency bonus, but since the "IMMUNITY, EFFIC" option is in place, wouldn't that mean the negative points wouldn't be added at all, or am I, yet again, just wasting everyone's time?

i noticed that too. With the hive having allready a -2 economy and now with a permenent 0 effic., its really hard to make any money at all. |

It's not that it's a permanent 0 Effic, it's that the immunity does not lower the Efficieny should you pick Police State, Planned Econ, or whatever reduces Effic. The problem here, is that when you pick those, your society isn't affected, but in the "background", the game still moves the Effic down. So, if you picked Police State, Planned, and Knowledge, you're Effic will remain at zero. But, if you pick Frontier, Green, and Knowledge, it'll be up to +3 Effic. The problem here is, that the game still considers the negative Effic, while, technically, it shouldn't. TheRefused |

IMMUNITY, EFFIC means you EFFIC rating can never be negative. To get the effect you're looking for you need IMPUNITY, Police State, IMPUNITY, Planned ... that way you'd not get any negative effects from those two social choices.James |
