Why does my mouse pointer turn solid Black when I start this game!!!! It is ruining SMAC for me I can't see the thing half the time!!!! |

SMAC uses its own 256 colour palette rather than the standard windows one. While in the SMAC window the mouse will appear according to what color in the SMAC pallete replaces the one it normally uses in the windows palette. In your case this happens to be black, on my machine the pointer changes from blue to bright yellow. If your really keen you could create your own cursors using the smac palette, or just change your cursors to a different color. |

my pointer goes from blue to white to red and then back again in a cycle?!?!?! |

Is it normally an animated cursor Lazerboy? Maybe it's just feeling patriotic  |
