National Socialist=/= Communist. National Socialism is Fascism my friend  ;lol

Socialism/Communism is internationalist and egalitarian, Fascism is nationalist and more focused on ethno/culturalcentrism and unity as opposed to diversity.

yes jarl, it's as what happen in this age in europe with anti-euro/anti-union parties. different countries have their own formations and they're united by the diversity, element of distinction of the different cultures. in galaxy planets are too distances among themselves and each people have is nationalist party, rib of the largest and most comprehensive central party/idea.

looking italia history, fascism was fundamental to the debasement of the crown in favor of the popular nationalization, even if the party had to live with many latent powers. Mussolini was taken as an inspiration for leader as Hitler, but also in moder era, expecially in socialist south america, as commander Chavez, this last released an interview where he say he wasn't marxist but he wanted realize in Venezuela what Mussolini made in Italy during fascist era (although, as mentioned above, revolution in italy was realized only for half).

i'm thinking to revising the indipendetists fac, the faction that now don't properly convinces me, by changing its policy from democratic politic to planned economy, make it become a kind of common of people who want to be on their way than other fas but driven by a  central coordinating motor. a sort of spontaneous separatist movement with ''pure-socialist'' connotations (as Euskadi Ta Askatasuna).
i'm thinking to give to this fac
-1 ECON market controlled
-1 MORALE i mantain the idea of volunteer recruitment
+1 PROBE or and some probe bonus, straight of convintion and sabotage skill
+1 INDUSTRY developed industrial machinery and peoples working hard for commun purpose
and maybe some little bonus in defence for skill linked to the guerrilla activities

independentists are a bit changed, now i like their more.
they are independentists pioneers who approach the art of war to survival through guerrilla and sabotage activities.
it's inspired to left-wing indipendentists movement as Batasuna (heuskady independentists party-armedmovement), Autonomistische Welschtiroler/Trientiner Tiroler Partei,...

;santi; in me says : we play war not play peace ;)

bull[poop]a part, my point of view about that is : in human history during the first colonization steps, the power of new settlements it was often been directed by military supervisors or some authority with military power. for this reason i'm going always to looking for leader in uniform.


thanks for ideas friends and thanks jarl to post some. anyway yes the major sources are in science fictions movies/tv series, comics toons about space and game pc ... we should do a list more accurated.

@jarl you have a potential leaderhead pic of a russian honor guard or something of this genre, but in contemporany era, not in comunist era. for comunists i'm researching a chinese military female  ;excite; (i've found a potential one but if i find better ...)

i'm developing a new project when i got something to show i'm going to talkin about, i hope this new could be more interesting for your war tastes.

I was just collecting militarist looking figures, not necessarily socialist/communist. Most militarists are fascists or quite bluntly, merely militarists.

If you need militarist looking leaders of a particular ideal or culture, I can look more specifically for those if you wish.

Also, for communist leaders, if your going off of real communist revolutionary patterns avoid the Chinese or very ornate uniforms. Military men and women of real communist movements typically have more basic uniforms, sometimes adorning red stars, hammer and sickle insignia, etc. But generally keep a very... working class look to them, or at least basic uniforms without too much regalia. High Soviet officials broke this mindset when Stalin came to power primarily, because Stalin was an Autocrat. Same thing with the Chinese Communists when they started to change from Communist to Nationalist, especially after the cultural revolution and when Deng Xaioping took over in the 70's.

Beforehand, Communists in China kept to basic worker's uniforms/the blue uniform or similar, keeping their military uniform simple, often using greens or blues. And for the Soviets, it was generally simple uniforms: Which the Red Army did keep for the most part even during the Stalinist era, but generally Soviet leaders prior to Stalin kept to more humble uniforms.

analyzing the contest of the game, terrans had need to search new places where establish their self for the conditions of the earth always more inospithables. it refer to a no far future, the game dates the arrive on chiron on 2100, and could be also possible if humans arrive on mars on 2020.
one thing is sure, and many scientists support this : XXI century will remembered as the human era of exploration and colonization of the space.
i want mantein the concept of Unity, initially a unified mission which it's going to disaggregate itself when just arrive in alpha centauri system. so UN maintein is role and istitution in 2050, 2080 (just think a LEAGUE OF NATIONS it's always existed in the last 100 years of current history).
about factions which composed the mission, how you view the world in 2050 - 2080 a.c. ???


i try to outline a first approach to the topic, i see the world split in these blocks of alliance

- POPULAR FRONT of asia, on earth it's composed by PRC and its satellites states of indocina and south east-asia

- UNION of american states or ,of the free nations, or ATLANTIC UNION, on earth it's composed by Usa and other western states which chose to follow it (but there's more less europe than today)

- COMMONWEALTH OF NATIONS on earth it's composed by the secular britain commonwealth

- RISING SUN EMPIRE on earth it's composed by japan and its influence in pacific

- EMPIRE OF RUSSIA on earth it's composed by russia and possessions of typical russian influence like kazakistan kirghighistan ...

and for now i stop myself here, i don't want influence other views and listen other opinions about the missing.


china is the first economy power of the world, i think it mantein is ''winning'' political and governative structure until 2080

japan after the umpteenth ecological disaster and the costant delusions of the ''pseudo allied'' (including the continuous non-recognition of their holocaust during second world war) embarked on its indipendent way ispired by the old empire

russia continued to develop its nationalist way until to reach the empire as in XX century

about US and britain, also here i don't think they change their political and governative structure

i think for commonwealth and japan to made them as acquatic fac
