Me, me, I'm with the Hive .If you really want to know, look in the threads "the Human Hive", "AntiHive hysteria: connotations and denotations", and "Hivespeak" (the last one's kind of old). You may also want to look at the debates in "Multi-Player Alliances" and "The Spartan Problem". I could repost some of the reasons here, but I think those threads cover it pretty well, unless there is a new argument against the Hive. There are multiple viewpoints on the Hive. 1) Borg. 2) Stalinism. 3) Something else. I subscribe to option 3. Read the threads to see what I mean.

Well, I was with the Hive back when it was the Labyrinth, and I just want to see it through. If I dislike it after playing it, I'll switch. The Hive still seems to have most the the play characteristics (bonuses and penalties) of the original Labyrinth. So it probably won't be too different. Also, it feels great to stick up for the underdog and win. Everyone seems to hate the Hive. It'll feel great to beat the odds, if only for the challenge. |

Good reasons, however, I don't have a faction. I'm somewhat leaning towards UoP over the HH now.To tell the truth, I've never hated the HH. |

"To tell the truth, I've never hated the HH."So you were lying before? To satisfy my curiosity, what did you think the Labyrinth was about before it turned into the Hive? Did you guys think there were TWO science factions? That seems a bit silly to me.

Yes I was lying and stop quoting me DAMNIT!And yes, it seemed silly to have two science factions, but that wasn't our choice. Frankly, the Labyrinth was a group who valued science above all and the UoP somewhat cared for human life, I think. |

I'm with the Hive, at least at first. I see them as the implacable type... 'Imperfection is not an option.'Besides, they and the Spartans seem to be cast as the bad guys, and the Spartans look boring. Woo-hoo, milataristic psychopaths. I'd rather play non-milataristic psychopaths, myself. |
