Congratulations to one of our posters and best wishes for healthy baby coinciding (perhaps) with the release date of SMAC.

Suggestions on the name? Buhler? Anyone?

First girl child: Hope, Gaia...
First boy child: Julius, Tiberius (That's how it's spelled), Jean-Luc, Benjamin, Kathryn...oh wait, sorry. ;-)

Kathryn? You must be joking...

I'd name it after my faction leader.

Mightent Pravin be an inappropriate name, depending upon the child's nationality? Or Zarhkov?

If you're talking about my imminent bundle of joy, a few things to ponder:

1. The kid isn't due until early- to mid-March. I hope the game will be out weeks before then. ;-)

2. It's gonna be a boy.

3. My wife really isn't into the computer game thing.

4. I'm a third generation Canadian, with no discernible ethnicity beyond generic WASP; my wife's family is in a similar state, although perhaps a bit closer to its Irish heritage.

5. The boy's names have already been selected.

6. I ain't tellin' until he's born--I don't want to put a jinx on it. ;-)

Let the guessing begin! :-)

Cheers,
Lee "SMAC Daddy" Johnson
