I just checked out www.ebworld.com. Please examine these release dates:

December 29th- Myth II: SoulBlighter
Februrary 3rd- SMAC
Feb 24- Civilization: Call to Power
March 2nd- Heroes of Might & Magic III

They're all after Christmas! What to do by then? Well, I have college apps to finish today, but afterwards? Personally, I'm consoling myself with The Curse of Monkey Island, for only 20 bucks. How bout y'all?

P.S. I'd do it with Zelda- if I had an N64. But alas Zelda is the only game that I'd really like on the N64 (I'm not much of an action gamer and that's all N64 is good for), so that's not likely. Well, I still have Zeldas I, II, III, and IV... I don't really need V... I think...

What's holding me over 'till SMAC?? These forums really. I'm getting my CD drive fixed tomorrow, so I might play a little X-Com Apocalypse for the time being. I plan on buying Close Combat II, & doing what Monty couldn't, so I maybe here a little less.

If you really want to get to SMAC faster, just take everything one day at a time. The game's gonna come sooner or later. Just think the later, the better. You'll still be as addicted anyway, no matter when it comes out!

BTW, Gangsters, I heards, is coming out tomorrow, the 7th, so maybe that can hold you over. Crime does pay. Is that the demo though?? I read somewhere the release date was spring '99. I don't know, it confuses me!

No problem Sol, I played Myth:TFL for a looong time after it was released.

Oh by the way, did a lemur named Kain ever come and play in StarCraft and do really well? He was the most hated player in Myth of all time and help start the evil play styles in ranked that sent most of the good players to unranked.

Ya'll should play Caesar III. It is a very addicting game and take a loooooong time to finish. Believe me, I just finished Level 10 and already played like 200-300 hours.

I hate real-time strategy, just beat Final Final Fantasy VII, and have beaten Descent:Freespace about 5000 times. I guess I'll go play Civilization II.

Oooh, Myth II comes out on my birthday. You're not going to get CTP, are you SnowFire? I might just to make fun of it.

CTP I might get. I'm still undecided on it, I won't get it the day ot comes out certainly. If the net reviews come back positive, and I haven't lost all my spare time to SMAC & Myth II then I'll get it.

Actually, looking at the release dates, I very well may hold off on CTP, since I WILL get HOMM III, and any free time left from Myth and SMAC can get eaten by that instead . I never noticed that before!

CTP is still a possibility though, maybe after its price falls a little and the reviews are positive. (and by positive I mean POSITIVE).

I might buy CTP as well. Sure, some of the units are stupider than Al Gore, but it'll give me something new after SMAC gets played out. But SMAC won't get played out until about 5000+ hours of play But CTP probably won't be on my shelf for a pretty long time. I'm buying Gangsters, CC2 & SMAC, hopefully, & those will hold me over for a pretty damn long time. If I really feel poor when I buy the games, I may just get Gangsters & SMAC though.

What other games look good that are coming out after SMAC??

Well, I was hoping for SMAC over Christmas to hold me over for the two weeks I have off. Or even the demo. Now It'll probably have to be Baldur's Gate, which according to Black Isles is out BEFORE Christmas. YAY! =)

Just hope that like Might and Magic VI it isn't 3-4 months late in Oz. =(

Well, I bought Fallout 2, that's keeping me good (and these forums of course). SMAC will come, one day, but it shall come.

Hmmm.... FEB 3rd now huh? Oh well, I guess the game will be much better the longer the wait is. Ok, to pass the time Finish both Half-life and Sin. If that is your thing...Otherwise, Play Zelda, Next Ganeration magazine was right, IT IS THE GME OF THE CENTUARY! Other than that,Fallout 2, Ceasar 3 will tide ya over nicely as well. OR study Medieval architecture, thats what I'm doing.

I'll probably buy the Brood War expansion for Starcraft which doesn't have a release date yet but should soon. I am getting pretty tired of the Warcraft2 style of RTS games though.

Baldur's Gate is a pretty good looking AD&D RPG, but I'm disappointed by the lack of any kind of editor. A good RPG with an editor would be really nice. Anyway BG is supposed to be out before the New Year.

Of course neither of these two games is out yet so I guess for now it's Civ2. Not bad at all.
