OK .. what's up with the story ???

They keep on refering to Chiron as "Planet" !!!

Is it "Planet" or is it "Chiron" ... technically, I know Chiron means planet, but you know what I mean !!!

It's both. The astronomers are calling it Chiron, but the idiots on board Unity are calling it Planet because they are just simpletons. I personally like Chiron better, & I think FIRAXIS should change it from just scientists calling it Chiron, & make everyone call it Chiron, I know I would!!

Personally, I like "Planet" better because it's got a freaky "different" quality to it that I can't quite put my finger on. "University of Planet" sounds soooo much cooler than "University of Chiron".

If I recall the PC Gamer preview from last year, they call Chiron Planet out of reverence-kind of like Judaism using Adonai.

AU ... I'm not familiar with what you're trying to say. Who was Adonai ???

I like University of Planet, but I don't like "Planet" ... it sounds too stale !!!

How about we just call it "Dirt". After all, what does earth mean? :P

Seriously though - Planet could be the everyday term, but Chiron could be the official name - similar to the Sun vs. Sol.

Speaking of which, do you think they'll just call AC A the Sun?

That's my point, they call it "Planet", where they should at least call it "the planet" !!!

And yes, it's my guess that in day to day life, they'll call both stars the suns .. more out of habit though !!!

Yeah, people would call it the sun, just because they're used to calling a light bringing star, the sun. Though some smartass elementary school kid would march around calling it Alpha Centauri A.

Do you think after a few hundred years some people would leave Chiron & attempt to re-colonize Earth?? That's a definate I believe. People are going to wanna see the planet of the species origin. It would make grown men cry seeing the planet of the humans itself origin. The beauty might be gone in site, do to the nuclear wars, but ti would be just as beautiful in the fact it gave humanity life...

LOL .. it would be a vicious cycle, in 5000 years, Chiron is totally ravaged beyond repair, and they send an emergency mission back to Earth (which has had the time to repair itself because all of humanity had been destroyed by itself !!!) ... then 5000 years after that, they would need another emergency mission back to Chiron .. ETC ETC ETC !!! LOL (Actually, I shouldn't laugh, there's a scary realism to it !!!)
