Does anyone know the algorithm for the Civ 2 faction dominance graph, and if the SMAC one will be the same? Like tech, money, land controlled, population, units, wonders, some combination thereof (well, it is a combination, but does anyone know more exactly?)

No, I don't know what the formula for the combined dominance graph is. But I think that in SMAC, you can also display bar graphs that indicate strength in a particular area (tech, mil, pop, etc). |

I think civ2's powergraph was dependent on population, because the civ with the largest population would have the biggest research rate and production rate. What I really like about the faction powergraph in SMAC is that it is on the main screen so we can see directly who is the biggest without having to quit the game like in civ2. |

Yes, I like the omnipresent feature, too. But I don't think that the combined powergraph will be based solely on population. I think I read somewhere that your graph jumps up the moment you build a secret project. |
