Hey everyone:The new story episode is up. The double threads were happening because the sever got moved to a new IP address and things got screwed up while the new address trickled its way around the net. Sorry about that. Just so you know, we'll get these forums straightened out, but right now everyone's focus is 100% (or at least 99.8%) on the game as we move into the final phase of the project. Everything we're doing now will soon be yours!

More into Prokhor's personality-I'm starting to like him more and more.I'm starting to think Gamespot is evil incarnate for not posting the Designer Diaries Mr. Reynolds sent them so long ago. |

Thanks!Yes, the new episode is excellent, as usual. I suppose Raymond is probably another forum poster, though I forget people's names right now... One thing, make sure the preview at pc.ign.com is posted on the main site for people who don't frequent the forums. I think most of us agree that it's a fine preview. P.S. Vodka pure? Bah. Zakharov dropped a notch today. |

Though I will agree with AUH20 in that his vision of a purely scientific soceity is nice, though I wonder how he imagines he could convince the split and impure other members of the crew to join it. After all, we already know that only roughly 1/7 of the ship's population will join him, and he doesn't know that the others will split up as well. |

I think (hope) that Raymond is The DirectorGeneral brought back to life. This time with a speaking part as the trusted friend of Prokhor Zakharov instead of the quiet death in a cryocell. IIRC, The DirectorGeneral actually wrote a number of chronicles from the UoP POV. Cool! We are, at last, getting an idea of how the different factions will coalesce.

I liked how the factions are developing now, it seems to be getting pretty close to the assasination of Garland. They mentioned vodka too! Ahh good old vodka, your best friend when your drinking it, your worst enemy when you wake up in the morning the night after drinking it..... Your faithful & hell-bent NIMadier general, YYYH |

Man what an awesome episode. (True to life, I suspect the dialogue was based on Sid/Brian.) And some amusing dialogue - "the biggest research grant ever - a whole planet". Ahh, if only... |

Heh. Mike Ely would have us believe that they're working on the game. But I noticed a quote at the bottom of the story. Obviously they've been hanging around the forums long enough for Maya's influence to rub off on them! And yes, the story gets better with each episode. Another good one. Time for an argument/discussion between Miriam and Yang? (Something tells me they'll have little in common.) |

Well, thanks for the info as well, but:"The double threads were happening because the sever got moved to a new IP address and things got screwed up while the new address trickled its way around the net. Sorry about that." Mike (H, that is), do you understand that ? Addresses trickling around the net ? I thought the double thrads had the same addresses, or ? And why is it still happening ? I guessing they mean that it took a bit for the DNS entries and any other misc. config files that might have the IP# to propogate around the net. I've run into this sort of thing at work(tech support) when we've changed IP #s on different boxes. |
