As I hinted at before, CWAL is now stuck in its rubber room. It is a nice enough place, but we aren't really getting any audiences. Interest in Blizzard has all but ceased, I can't think of a story posted within the last month which actually involved Blizzard. We used to post on the Pilot's Lounge, we still do occasionally, but now we need a new place (due to the fact that the PL is all but dead). Many of us were wondering if you would like to see CWAL stories other than our Hunt Valleyt series. If so then any stories posted on the CWAL Rubber Room would also be posted here. So if you find CWAL stories entertaining then just say yes - Do you want more CWAL stories here?
At present CWAL has over 50 talented writers, stories roling out by the dozen, but no audience...
Maybe then Yo_yo_hey would understand how CWAL functions

Sure, CWAL is free to post all the stories they want here. As long as you don't mind everlasting and eternal war against the IIIS, where the only hope for you is surrender and admission into the IIIS. When the old forums come back up, they have a "Chronciles of Future History" forum specifically for fiction. Then we can all turn our creative energies there.

I am not ready to accept something I know nothing about. My vote is no unless you can convince me that your writers will post meaningful off-topicness. And my vote is definitely NO if all you are going to do is post copies of stories. Everything here should be done here, SMAC is not a colony in your empire, as a sovereign state we request only local participation.

We aren't an empire. We just want an intelligent audience for our stories. You guys happen to be intelligent, on the whole. Besides, we did quite a few stories that didn't involve Starcraft on the Stracraft forums. And as for the meaningful off-topicness, we did say stories. We didn't say pointless polls and such. You can trust most of us not to squash your board or anything. Although we probably should stick Kazz and Dorg in the closet if that's what some people might be asking for...

I will reiterate SnowFire's point. The Chronicle of Future History Series is probably our most inventive way to express our creativity. A lot of us love the chronicles although they were going into ill use before thr forums crashed. I say that if you do bring your stories in here you must also contribute to the CoFH. If need be we can start up a version right here.

Rest assured, people of the Firaxis forum, at least some of our stories shall involve Alpha Centauri and, possibly, the denizens of this forum. There are some people who will post stories not pertaining to AC, but you shoudl be able to tolerate that. And we don't really mind contributing to this Chronicle of History, at leats, we probably won't once we learn what it is.

Frankly, if these, um, people can vote to keep the abortion threads in, I can't see how any of them could possibly argue about you posting your stories there.
If they don't want to read them, they can just ignore 'em. According to them, anyway.
Personally, I don't mind, unless it really starts to clog up the servers. Can't say that I ever read any of the COFH stuff, and chances are I won't read your stuff. Just not my style... =)

What do you think of the SMAC forum now? I believed I warned you that the IIIS staff might be a little less disciplined than your CWAL writers. As we saw, the entire IIIS Security staff jumped ship to established their Brotherhood of Sid and proceeded to attack any and all perceived threats. I would not take this personally because Yo_Yo_Yo_Hey, Apocalypse and Venom (I should never have given him that first bullet) have long histories of large scale and fairly indiscriminate violence. Not even MikeH can make them keep their weapons outside of the I Clubs.
More to the point, I welcome your presence here. The new characters and ideas you have brought are refreshing and amusing. I am sure that you have already seen the influence on some to the regular posters styles. As I have said before, I am especially looking forward to how the CWAL writers work within the context of the Factions inside the A.C. world. I wish you could read some of the interactive Chronicles of Future Histories, they were quite exciting, although they often quickly degenerated into, how did you put it? `who had the biggest gun" scenarios. But there were also many short stories that were really great.

As for this forum, it is very similar in a lot of ways to the old Pilot's Lounge, before it degenerated into a blubbering heap dominated by Spice Girls fans and barney-a-holics. Very refreshing
Okay, well I *think* (inverted commas, very uncertain not willing to say yes or no because I am not sure how DC will react to me posting this) I have convinced Dark Chrono to post Chosen ones on here once its finished (He said tenatively today). He's been working on it for months now so it should be good
Initially, given the number of charecters we have it may get confusing... Also I can safely say that within a few weeks we may get more stories involving SMAC depending upon how sucessful we are here... Well here's hoping.

Actually, all my socks are alike, nice & pure white. So, I can mix & match 'em, so stealing on each would only deplete the number I have(to 1 pair I think? )
We have many things to worry about, so we ARE easily distracted. I got to fight a war with Imran constantly looking over my shoulder. Arghhh, sometimes I wish I could fight a war without being politically correct. if there were no politicians, wars would be alot shorter, though I guess more atrocious. Ummm, I hate politicians, let me fight the war damn it!!!
