Nexii are more evil than Smileys !!!

I seem to be having major problems connecting to the forum server today!!!

Is anyone else having this problem ???

We must look past our differences of the past and unite to ward off the evil nexii !!!

Beware ... the Nexii are lurking !!!
Beware ... Evil is lurking !!!

Beware of the evil nexii that lurk !!!

Unite and fight !!!
We must devise a type of SDI defence against nexii !!!
Anyone have any ideas ???

1. There aren't any nexii doing this

2. You are getting WAY to obessed with your post count, newbie.

3. The reason you are having problems is because the whole internet is screwed up right now.

Hey tough guy .. lol .. who are you calling a newbie ???

I had around 400-500 posts in the old forum ...
all single posts from what I recall !!!

It may not be up there with some of you guys in the 1000-2000 range, but I would at least think that wouldn't make me a newbie !!! lol

As for my connection, I have cable and haven't had these problems very often .. it's normally only when the other side is having problems .. but the forum doesn't seem to be too busy at the moment, so I thought there might be a problem with the new forum's server !!!

At one point in the other thread I got my post repeated like 4 times, and when it finally went through, I got a forum screen that said server error on it all over the place !!!

IT'S THE NEXII I TELL YOU !!!

I called you a newbie because you know how the forums use to be, when everyone was able to have off-topic conversations while still relating heavily to SMAC. I miss those times. The only people that probibly remember them is Greg, Rang, The DG, YYYH, and maybe TAS beacuse he was usually in the sci&tech...

I as well remember those days, but hey you run out of ideas when your on a forum board for about 8 months, is it?

I guess you're right, but I'm sure alot of the old ideas will come up again as more and more people join the board !!!

This place will be crazy buzy in a few months !!!

Yes, and then there's the real vets (myself included) who were around on the General Discussions Board on Firaxis' home page, months before the advent of the SMAC home page and Forums.

Only a few of us left now (man, makes me feel OLD). And I'm getting so old, I can barely remember them. I do remember my famous stouches with Eric Olsen though. =)

I don't think that newbieness should be determined by the number of posts, but by when the person joined. I mean, I joined around (June, July), but I never got more than 300 posts, dose that make me a newbie? Not the way I see it.

Here, here Mortis. I've been around sice the beginning of these forums. March, perhaps? But, newcomers such as YYYH and MikeH always had more posts then I did. If you remember the thread Urgent Message for Friends of Imran Siddiqui, I said I always posted for quality, not quantity. that's what I think everyone should emulate.
DJ RRebel posted 11-09-98 02:14 AM ET     Click Here to See the Profile for DJ RRebel  Click Here to Email DJ RRebel
I agree .. it's quality and not quality that counts ...
unless you have a quantity of quality !!!

Who the ___ cares how many posts anyone has or how long they've been there anyways, as long as someone has something viably sensible to say, they have my welcome mat waiting for them to participate !!!

Remember knowledge is power ... and knowledge is not any more knowledgeable depending on where or who it came from !!! It's the integrity of the knowledge itself that should be the determaning factor of ones worth !!!

And regardless, I've been here several months myself .. not as much as I have been this week cause I've had a few days off, but I've been here .. and I think I've had some decent input to add to the forums !!! I may not have added to the same level as some of you, but what difference does that make now ???

You must be a racist bigot against newbies or something !!! lol .. or then again, maybe not !!

I think I need some sleep now !!!

I'm not really a newbie, I was there at the tail end of the golden age admitedly but I read SMAC addiction 1 as it was being written.

You should not worry about the size of the count just the content. And as anyone who as read my posts there is absolutely no content in them at all. So I must be the newbieest, least important among you all. So you can all feel good about yourselves again.

hehehe
ahhhh choooo.....bless me.

Yes. When the horde comes after the SMAC demo is released, we will ALL be vets together. My first post was in the middle of July, though I didn't become super active until August... then it was a free fall from there, my SMAC forums addiciton increasing at 32 posts per second per second.

Reminiscing is fun!

I remember being scolded, & none of my posts being responded to in my early days. Mostly because they were crappy one-liners, but I try not to post one-liners any more, just so that painful time in my life doesn't happen again

Your faithful & hell-bent NIMadier general,
YYYH

YYYH .. you were scolded ??? lol
I couldn't picture this forum without you !!!

I couldn't care for the length of posts, sometime you need 100 lines to say something (abortion & Religion II .. Canadian 8th Faction Conspiracy Theory) .. then other times all you need is one line !!! I say who cares either way as long as you've made your point !!!

BigER posted 11-10-98 05:56 PM ET     Click Here to See the Profile for BigER  Click Here to Email BigER
one liners are cool NYM
DJ RRebel posted 11-11-98 11:52 AM ET     Click Here to See the Profile for DJ RRebel  Click Here to Email DJ RRebel
See what I mean ??? <(another one liner)
DJ RRebel posted 11-11-98 11:55 AM ET     Click Here to See the Profile for DJ RRebel  Click Here to Email DJ RRebel
Unfortunately, if there are too many one-liners, the general content-integrity of the thread itself will become in question .. so we have to be careful about not over doing the one-liners just for the sake of doing one-liners !!!

I wonder what the average length the posts are in the forum !!!

I've seen some super short ones, but then I've seen a few that just scroll forever !!!

See what happened .. not enough of you joined the Anti-Nexii club ... and now we have multiple threads and elvil Nexii all over the place !!!
