We all knew this would happen didn't we. We all were hoping it wouldn't but it did. What do you think about the date being pushed back to DEC 20th? Personally I think it sucks but what can you do. Hopefully the CWAL operatives get the full version soon.

You're right, it is starting to look like Starcraft. We have graphics overhaul, delays, and now CWAL. This is getting scary.

Oh well, I'm not sticking around for another month. Work is piling up. I wish the best to CWAL. Don't loose the vision.

I guess I'll just go back to my old silent self. And only one post away from membership. How awful.

How/where do you find out the release date for the demo?

What is a junior member?
How do you I change my user name to a proper alias?

don't be mad, at fraxis? have u ever tried writing code? if not try it, you get to spend five hours looking for the place where you forgot to place the semi-colon

Scientists make problems, that's why you need engineer's to solve them

Yep programming is hell even for something relatively simple much less 200+ megs of game including (among other things) advanced ai, movement logics for units, an entire freaking economy. Anyone know what language they are programming in? C++, Pascal, Cobol (evil laugh), or something developed in house?

And I just thought that my math skills were going down the drain.

Lets see, my life goes to heck and the only thing I truly have left to look forward to is the fall release of Sim 3 and AC. Now even those are gone. ahhh

I would just love it if for once a company put a product out before is was supposed to be. Maybe not the entire product, but at least the demo. And I would really like to know why they did not set the clock back earlier. They waited until like one week before the release, didn't someone know that it was going to take them over a month more to finish the bloody program, or did this come as some sort of surprise to everybody who is developing the game. Ahhhhh.

BTW. I really doubt that they are programming in Pascal or even turbo pascal. It is a great language, but much to formal. But if they did happen to be programming in pascal, finding that missing semicolon is a breeze. They did a wonderful job on the compiler and error finder in that language.

Oh well. All the best to firaxis. And great luck on the game. But I too shall be taking my leave of this wonderful forum. It is just to much to bear sitting here for over another month waiting for the demo to come out. Seeya all another time. Bye

From what I recall, SMAC is programed using C++ with some Assembly required.
