*WARNING* you may dissagree!
These are only my opinions so if you don't like them list your own!

1. Human Hive-police state, no internal strife,cult-like following, what more could you ask for?
2.UoP
3.Spartan
4.Peacekeepers
5.Morgan Conglomerate
6.Geia's stepdaughters
7.Lords believers-Faith is good but does it win the war?

actualy i kinda think they are equal.. we would be insulting Sid's abilities at game makeing which, we all know, are far superior to en1 elses

hrm.. did I miss-spell superior?

Here is my list:
1. UoP because the one who controls information and technology will always have the upper hand
2. Morgan's Conglomerate because with wealth you can get almost anything you want
3. Lord's believers because faith does win the war (ever hear of the walls of Jerico, Talon? )
4. Spartan federation because might makes right, but only for a while
5. Peacekeeper's because noble principles give you a just cause
6. Human Hive because a cult following is not much use (at the end it gets you absolutely nothing, just look at Hitler, Staline etc...)
7. Gaian stepdaughter's because they are tree huggers (do I really need to explain?)

id go for the UoP, with all that cool tech. your engineers would be able to build really cool things

Scientists make problems, that's why you need engineer's to solve them

They're all equal, as Dcreeper said. The question should be which is more FUN to play. And that would have to be the PKs, just for the diplomacy.

"Any idiot can start a war. It takes someone with intelligence and foresight to stop one though." Me.

Hmm, I'm proud of that one actually. =)

2nd: probably the Gaians, because of the struggle they'd face to live in harmony with the planet, and try and avoid the mistakes of the past.

3rd: The believers, for very similar reasons. Gotta LOVE those Holy Wars though.

4th: UOP. Always did play the scientific, peaceful role in CIV and CIV II.

5th: The Hive. Something different.

6th: Morgan. Too concentrated on profits.

7th: The Spartans. As I said, any idiot can start a war. Sure, it's a challenge winning one, but not as much as it is averting one in the first place. (Plus is suits my last title =)

Here is how I would rank the factions (by how much I like each style)

UoP - Everybody loves getting all those neat gadgets (Hey firaxis if you didnt think of it already have diffent tech trees for each faction)

Morgans - If everyone shares the same tech tree eventually you come to the end then the guy with the most guns wins

PeaceKeepers - Usually I am no good at diplomacy I keep using applied evolution on my neighbors (hmm you are littler than me "CHOMP" who is next?)

Gias, Fanatics - Though Gias will proabably have an advantage if they get along with the native wildlife, will it be enough to hold off the rest? Fanatics, hmph I personally find "Holy" war boring its just to easy.

Human Hive - They might come in higher if they dont get a research penalty but I just love little gizmos

Spartans - These are for those who are looking for a quick win. I dont see them as having much staying power against UoP's later toys and they would eventually get swarmed under by the massive forces of the Hive and Morgans. However if they can eat Gias and the Fanatics early enough they stand a chance.
