Hey everyone... This is a test forum to see how this new server does. Getting all the posts off of the old server and on to the new server has been a royal pain, and it has taken second priority to finishing game stuff. The new server is at Origin. This temporary forum is so you guys can talk again, and we'll get the old posts back up ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience... Let us know if there are problems with this server. |

I never read any of the silly "club" threads anyways. Glad the forums are back (although it was kind of good when they disappeared--I was able to get some work done!) Are we going to have to re-register again when the old stuff is moved over? Or just this once? |

Damn, no one wants clubs anymore, the SMAC forums are nothing with out clubs!!! MikeH, or Imran start a new I club, post haste!!  Ahhh, soon the demo will come, & Ill be happy. Damn, I have to start my post count over, oh well, I feel like a newbie again. Mike, is this still gonna be that registering for one forum registers you for all of them. Are you gonna chage the Firaxis & Gettysburg forums to be like this too?? |

Looking at the FAQ it appears that the Junior Member / Member status difference is not affective here either. Aren't the smiley faces precious. The really cool thing is the addition of the Search Function to this forum (although I haven't gotten it to work yet). |

Hmm, I got a problem. Some of the images on this board are broken, I can`t view them. Anyone else got this prob? It`s always the "profile"-image (the glasses) that are broke and sometimes the e-mail images is out of whack too..strange. //Ced |

Hail, I'll have to apologize to everyone, since I figured out what really caused the old forum to crash, and it was me. You see, the Firaxis psychics knew I was about to post the first chapter of a short story in the fiction section, and to spare all you poor readers some horrible agony, they crashed the forum. Apparently they either did a better job of it than expected, however... I am, however, curious as to the selection of replacement server. Why Origin? alpha.owo.com is, I think, one of their Ultima Online servers, and with all the complaints I've heard about server-side lag, I'm surprised they were willing to lease space and bandwidth. Well, Greenland is at GMT-2, so it's pretty much East Brazil that they moved their server too, since Newfoundland works on GMT-3:30. |
