ok, a CMN's CMN. I am going to do my cmn game. only those that have performed CMN services are eligible. ONLY 3 slots will be available!
Aredhran is #one
Goobmeister is #two
#3 is an open slot. in order to qualify, your CMN must have at least 6 human players.
In the event of more than 1 qualifier for #3, a lotto will be done. I will post again here when the game is ready.
Keep this in mind, There is a lot more to being a Creator/Moderator/Narrator than just making a game. The creation part is just the begining. as the game progresses, Moderator duties will become more time consuming. the CMN does get a break between the time of game creation and midgame. once most factions have made contact, the moderator part will be more involved. The Narrator part means the CMN is responsible for starting a thread for the game storyline, posting either verbatim, or in their own words "information leaks" that the players send in. yes, the players can also post in the story thread, but the narrator will be the "news person".
It is just as imperative that someone who choses to be a CMN, be able to finish the game, as the people playing the game. even more-so, as the CMN have the responsibility of deciding replacement players should the need arise.
Please keep this in mind jumping on the CMN bandwagon.

There is a differance between just "making maps" and taking on the role of Moderation and Narration. (It may be a kin to the differance of "makin' babies" -including the fun part - and doing the parenting.) Also anyone who has be the GM in a roleplaying game will know what a long term commitment it can be, and how the players will Always(!) try to wrest control from you .
I volunteered for the CMN role because the whole process is as fun as playing for me. I love kibitzing. If the whole process is what you enjoy please welcome aboard. If what you want to do is make maps We'd love to have your help as well.
Thanks also C. for giving us the op to play each other. Though I warn the others right now that the other reason I like the CMN role is because then I won't look like a complete idiot as the opposing players roll over me. (hey can we play on the creampuff setting? )

mine will be on Librarian level. NO other details will be revealed.
CMNs, send me 1 game, single player, your second favorite faction at turn 20. I will return your game. then send it to me again at turn 50. again it will be returned to you for finishing (if you so choose). turn 20 and turn 50 of your second favorite faction will give me a good idea of the direction the game will take. failure to use your second favorite may have adverse effects on your game start. I do not need to know who your favorite faction is.

I will publicly announce my interest in the 3rd slot. I am unsure whether MoSe's post was an announcement of interest. My eligibility will commence late next week.
My play is definitely in the "Obsessive" category. Saving after turn 20? Wow. My first save is most often after MY2300, and that's if I've sat down to a "short" game. The PBEM game is pretty weird, but fun, to me.

yea, you can send both at the same time. (just make sure you use 2 diffrent save names) i.e. goob20.sav and goob50.sav.

there is no rush on getting the games to me. I am going to wait a while before starting the game, so don't feel pressured.

Yes bene4, that was just a stand-by list reservation. Alas for now, that could prove to be a bit of overhead to me.
One thing that confuses me is the recursivity in it all, although I usually eat recursivity in my meta-breakfast.
To be eligible you had to actually have a challenge running under you CMNing, or just produce a map/scenario to prove you could be one?
Then would it be a normal PBEM, or the contest is in your CMN skills? So you compete in how good you are at creating, managing and narrating PBEMs?

BTW, for CMN, it does give you a good idea of the starting stratagey for the players. I think it is still a good idea, but the CMN game is going to be ...... you almost got me to reveal something, nice try... I think you will be pleased.

My least favorite faction really depends on the difficulty level, and the style of map... (I'm not trying to extort information, honest )
They're all fine, really, but I'd prefer not to have UoP or Morgan (I play these enough in SP), and I already have a PBEM game where I play Gaians, so one of the other factions would be nice, but I don't really care.
On second thoughts, I'm not really fond of the bible-thumpers so please no Believers (sorry cous, we're not all fanatical maniacs at heart ).

Hoping there is no reverse psychology going on here....
I would say that my least favorite faction to play at this point would be... Morgan, and just because I have him in two of the three pbem games I am in.
The faction I would least likely play in a SP game is the Human Hive.

cousLee, has bene4 expressed interest? He tfs99 are the only others who have done designing in a Challenge like atmosphere.

HELP. after a few emails, I am totally confused, I need to know who is vieing for the #3 slot. I need to know your least favorite faction, and a nubmer from 1-25.
The reason for this challange, is for those who have provided CMN services to be able to play one between themselves.
The game is ready, i would like to ship 5/3 (yea, Lal's B-day)

Well, it has come to my attention that when it comes to making an interesting story line I really SUK BAD!!!!!!
The narration of the story line will, as usual, have plenty of posts from the players. Considering I am a man of few words normally, I have a hard time story telling. If A player wants to send me info relevant to the sotry line (whatever that direction be), I will do a Naration post, but it will be per you verbatem. You say it, I print it. (kinda like real reporters).
I want the Story Line here., I want the turn tracking at apolyton. Both sites have good traffic, and there have been few complaints or concerns. Here's the easy part, Both threads will have the same name (one name to remember, instead of two).
