I am a member of the THC PBEM. I enjoy reading Weizen Tales and also watch how the two threads try to stay on top of the forum. A bit of unintetional rivalry I guess

I wander if WT members read THC thread. Also Did you guys start with time warp and what year is it now. We started with time warp and so far our game is only 10 moves old but already interesting developments are taking place.

I am following the Believers vs Peacekeepers war with great interest.

The Human Chapter also has a dedicated web site at www.iinet.net.au/~custompc

I had followed the Human factor at first, but have been a little absorbed in a few things lately. Weizen was a cmn generated game. We are in 2166. too bad you couldn't have been a fly on the wall when I smushed the UoP. I was quite supprized to find out Do or Die was not selected.

Yes. Weizen Rules. We shall overcome

I read Human Chapter every now and then also... It's great to have these excellent threads stay on top. Shame the others don't as much, though.

I think they (the others) will be fine as the games progress. For example, who wants to read:
NEWS FLASH!
uOp SCOUT MOVES 1 TILE! NEWS AT 11:00.

It'll get better.

Weizen is rocking pretty good. MWAHAHAHA

Of course, P "Getting my a pounded" K may not agree .

Wow, THC web site is great! Love the way it's set up. THC +1

Thanx cousLee for the kind words re THC web page. I have good time maintaining it.

And what happened to Aredhrans Challenge. This thread was getting quite long and interesting. Has the game ended?

I hope both of our threads will continue to the end.

How many moves do you do per week. So far we managed to do one a day which is pretty good considering 3 out of 4 players are on different continents.

naw, it's still going, but we have had some player problems. there being worked out. Weizen is around 4 or 5 turns a week. I could play that one 10 times, and still feel lacking. .

I am in THC, Mastor, Aredhran Challenge, and Erewhon. The play in THC was absorbing from the start, but I will be content to wait on the other games to develop. In the long run I would rather build my position from scratch.

When I crush Alex he will just lament that the time warp screwed him. Built in excuse.

Of course I would rather live in peaceful coexistence with Provost DePol, but he is apparently unwilling. After you are eradicated Alex, will you continue to maintain the board? Or, would you rather sign that proposal and live to fight another day?

As for Mastor and AC, it appears that too many players is a big problem. With Erewhon and THC at four each, we are moving rapidly.

Aha!
Your agenda is now clear to me Chairman jimmytrick. Or are you just bluffing? I guess I will find out soon

I think that I would continue the THC site even if I am erased from the surface of the planet.

You must be very busy with 4 games in progress. Do you play Hive in all of them?
I was considering taking part in more games but I'll wait to see how this one develops.

Four players seems to be a practical limit although more probability of 3 against 1 scenario.

Weizen Tales and Aredhran Challenge should have a web site too. This might lead to creation of hardcore PBEM SMAC players club.

Do I sound like a nerd yet? Well I should 'cause I play the UoP in THC

Alex, I have 6 games and one that I am CMN of, sometimes it is almost a relief when one game goesdown for a few days.

Weizen is a blast, Goob Challenge has created some sticky situations too, and I think as it gets back in the regular rotation, their will be more written about it.

I think 5 dedicated players is about as good as it could get, little chance for 4 on 1, though 3 on 2 would work, plus other combos.

I would rather be involved in 4 or 5 quality 5-6 player games each moving slower, than 2 or 3 3-4 player games.

I also much prefer the developed games, If a CMN can take a game up to the point that contact is present or starting, but not screw anything in the mean time . That is the ART of CMNing. Some PBEM games with no contact are like very slow SP games at this point, I know they will get better, but it is hard to be patient with games like Weizen about.

I would put a site up for Aredhran's challenge... but... So many things to do, and so little time ! I have a "normal" life (I really do, trust me ), plus 5 PBEMs and the single-player SMAC that I still enjoy.

The problem with Aredhran's challenge is multiple drop-outs, all for good reasons and done very civilly, with warning and all, but we still have the lowest turnaround time It picked up some speed last week, though... keep your fingers crossed, guys !

You think you might, might, maintain the site, Alex?

Am I to instruct Hive warriors to spare your skinny arsed scientists just because you might not keep the site up?

Are you gonna take your football and run home to momma!

Seriously, I love the site and appreciate it.
I hope you get to stick around in the game for a long time.

But be forewarned. As we speak Hive factories are mass producing the dogs of war. Once let loose they shall not be forsworn.

So choose wisely O Smartassed One. And quickly. Planet-Peace-Prosperity!

BTW, I am playing Believers, Hive, Gaians, and the Spartans. I am negoitiating a new
one-on-one in which I would play the UoP. That leaves the PK which I hope to use against the evil SMACmaster Couslee in a game someday. My mind and temperament are too fragile to attempt to play two factions at once.

And, of course, I would never play that stinking capitalist Morgan.

Gee willikers, I go to sleep for a few hours and, out of nowhere, pops up a MP thread, with 12 replies and cousLee's already infested it with his propaganda??? Alright, from now on, no more sleeping!!! Else, how will I keep the poor masses from being deluded in the same insidious fashion as the haples Believer troops that have so foolishly met their deaths in the Chironean Strait? That will so soon be dying in their own bases? *P "Getting my a pounded" K* Hahaha, LOL funny boy!

I have to agree with you on one thing, though. I could play this one ten times as much and also not get enough.

Okay, Weizen guys. We've all posted on this thread, so where's the game? I've got some orange orangutan butt to be kicking.

See y'all on Chiron!

-Cous, i can't "believe" what you did to my poor Provost. Good job !

-Anyone in the challenge, i'd like to receive a recent turn ;-)

-Weizen lurkers: drop me a line if you are interested in the game, and i will set up a WeizenII game.

-JAM, you rule ! I play the PK's of Weizen myself in a one on one PBEM. Hardcore rabbiting !

cousLee. The spartans seem to be isolated from other uman factions.
However it is known that they have struck a deal with the Gaians (unsurpassed) and have come accross the B.

UoP is doing fine and has the unfortunate western border with Hive . In the east are the so far peacefull peacekeepers.
I got feeling things will get interesting soon. We are into 13th round.

cousLee posted 06-02-99 03:25 AM ET     Click Here to See the Profile for cousLee  Click Here to Email cousLee
What spurred the question, was in the story it was stated that "there was no Spartan faction". I was curious, had to ask.

Meister, your poor UoP??!?! I, umm, er, did let them excape. NOT! Mwahahaha. I had thought do or die was selected. Thats ok, I got to see where they landed. maybe this time, Zak will keep his "religious freak" comments to himself. otherwise, He's gonna be one dead sommanabitch.

Sister Couslee, your conflict solving techniques make me feel very very sad ;-)
I honestly didn't pay attention to *that* setting and am rather surprised that the Computer could find a new spot for ole Zak.
Anyways, I feel this will only be a rather temporary solution.

Alex the smartass Depoled,

"UoP is doing fine and has the unfortunate western border with Hive"

Perhaps you would like me to "adjust" this border? How would you like an extended vaction in the deepest far reaches of that little jungle of yours.
