OK MAYBE IM DUMB BUT I THINK NOT COS I CANT LOG IN TO THE MULTIPLAYER ROOMS I GOT A MAIL FROM EA IM A MEMBER AND THE SEND ME ALSO MY LOG IN INFOS BUT I CANT LOG IN THEN I TRIED TO CHANGE MY PW AND I GET THE MESSAGE MY NAME IS NOT A MEMBER I CAN CHOSE THIS NAME OK I THOUGHT TO MY SELF ANOTHER TRY AND I STILL WAIT FOR THE MAIL FROM EA!AND I DONT KNOW WHY THEY ARE TO DUMB TO MAKE AN MULTIPLAYER SERVER EVERY ****N GAME HAVE AN OWN MULTIPLAYER SERVER WICH WORKS GREAT AND NOW MANY MONTHS LATER AFTER THE ALPHA CENTAURI IS RELEASED THEY STILL HAVE THE BETA TEST ALL THE TIME WHEN I VISIT THE HQ I SEE NO ONE IS IN THE ROOMS COS NO ONE CAN LOG IN MAYBE EA AND FIRAXIS THINK AH THOSE LITTL DUMP AZZES BOUGHT OUR GAME AND NOW WE CAN STOP DO ANYTHING FOR THEM I SWEAR I WILL NEVER BUY A GAME FROM FIRAXIS OR ELECTRONIC ARTS IF THIS **** DONT WORKS VERY SOON!!! PS:BUT ALPHA CENTAURI IS A GREAT GAME! |

1) DON'T SHOUT. We can all hear you just fine. Err... see you. Whatever. 2) Punctuation is key. That has GOT to be the longest freaking sentence I've ever seen. I know you're excited, but... 3) Be slightly creative. It's not too terribly difficult to link up with people who also play the game. I'm in 2 PBEM games now, one with 7 players one with 3, and it took all of 5 hours to get those both rolling. Lots of people want to play. Don't like PBEM? That's fine - post that you're looking for a live game. Response will be less enthusiastic (because most people can't afford the 8 hours it'd take to play against a decent player), but you'll find someone. Just be patient, my friend. The caps lock key is located on the left side of the keyboard, and punctuation is found either on the bottom or second-from-the-top rows. Remember these two key items, and games shall come. Nevertheless, Alpha HQ is dead for now 3 !!! days. I always observed several problems with that but it's the first time so long. Firaxis should establish an other soon with better performance and better support. |

I wonder, though, if it's Firaxis or EA which ought more properly be blamed? |

i think its EA we should blame. but how many of u guys can actually say out there that SMAC worked 100% in single player granted my machine maybe really screwed up but when i play AOE or C & C my comp works at 150% efficientcy so i think we should blame EA for AlphaHQ and Firaxis for the game. Hm. I can. I can't recall AC ever crashing or displaying any other signs of errors. In multiplayer, some odd stuff has happened, but that's another thing. Actually, it's one of the more reliable games I have... |

I GOT IN. It would appear HQ is back up. Not staying long, but worth trying again. |
