Here in this once growing Research Center of Abue-Khett on the University Frontier things are ominously quiet. As is becoming public knowledge now, a few short weeks ago, shortly after the deadlocked election for Planetary Governor elements of the Believer's famed Resurrection Squadron rolled into the University's Western Research center 50 Klicks west of here. The unprepared engineers and scientists were round up and faced the Believer's AntiSecular Tribunal, they were charged and convicted of crimes against the Lord, being the peaceloving people that the Believers are the convicted researchers were not summarily executed, rather they were chemically lobotomized and returned physically intact to University Base.

The Provost has made public pleas for assistance against this new and barbaric threat from the west. But things have turned worse for the poor scientists, The Spartans and the Morganites are known to have joined in Vendetta against the University. Only the peace-loving Gaians have offered what assistance they can, which so far has been humanitarian at best. Though several dozen Gaian anti-war protesters (Drones from Hanging Gardens) have showed up here in Abue-Khett.

If the Lord's Believers are the peace loving people we always thought they were then they will call off this Vendetta and seek a peaceful solution to the current problems." An unidentified source in the Believer Church was quoted as saying, "The heathen scientists were working on somesort of device that allows for the manipulation of weather! We all know that weather is the collected acts of God, and the control of it should remain in God's domain and only his true disciples have the right to influence it."

Will violence continue or was this just an effort to stop what Believers see as an abomination to their Lord?

We regret the Gaian leader has been tricked into believing the provost's lies, and in good faith have offered a simple truce, to allow The Gaian leader to fully examine the facts in this case.

The Lord will continue to deliver our enemy into our hands. In the march on the second UoP base, our diplomat was rescued and his foot re-attached at the medical facilities in New Jerusalem. He was awarded the Purple Cross for his valor and when offered to be released to his family's care, He responded "there will be time for that later, the Lords work must come first." He then proceded to help the scribes begin sorting the information received from the UoP databanks.
Usefull information has been given freely to some of the other faction leaders that were lacking basic technology, to help in the quest to make Planet a habitable home. The General commented, "If it were not the Lord's will, surely we would have lost at least 1 troop."

I hereby want to state that I did not declare war to the fat Morganites as a response to the events mentioned above. Our vendetta dates back to MY 2152 when the CEO declared that my economics were inefficient and, following my failure to comply with his demands.

I must add, this feud will last until I can properly control the drones at Morgan Industries and other morganite settlements. Meddling with the State's affairs will not be tolerated, and be dealt with swiftly in the manner deemed appropriate.

The Hive will remain neutral in this conflict seemingly opposing all the other factions on Planet, and will maintain all pacts and peace treaties with other nations, until further notice.

As the people of Europe learned so painfully in the first half of the 20th century, the entangling webs of alliances and national honor, more often than not, create situations which are neither desirable nor beneficial to the nations so constrained. It is my sad duty to announce the declaration of Vendetta against the Believers, in compliance to our pact obligations imposed upon us by the Gaians. We have been informed that this will cause the Morganites to honor their obligations to the Believers and hence, declare Vendetta upon our people. It is my most fervent wish that these hostilities will soon be conclude so that peace will once more reign on this planet.

I also wish to dispel the rumors and propaganda spread by the Spartans. We have not provoked them nor attacked them as they so falsely claim. It was upon our refusal of their rather extortionate demands, that they declared Vendetta against us.

If any peaceful solutions can be suggested to end this most disgusting display of violence and national foolishness, I am open to suggestions. I would be honored with the opportunity to broker peace between our errant leaders, an equitable peace is surely desired by all, is it not?

The Church of Planet, realizes the hyprocrasy of those who state "we want peace", wilst at the same time declaring war!

The Church will not make any first strikes unless left in a position to do otherwise. Any act of violence against the Church will be met with a decisive responce. Any who doubt the resolve of the Church, need only ask the Provost.

We have, and continue to strive for a peacefull resolution to the conflict with the UoP. However, the Provost continues to ignore transmissions, and makes unreasonable demands, and insults when he does accept a transmission. We will cease our strikes against the UoP when the Provost realizes his error, and also seeks a peacefull resolution.

Any faction leader who has been hoodwinked into the Provost's plans, will not be considered an enemy of the Church. The UoP has convinced the Gaian leader to join in their bizzare practices, and because of this, has caused a friend, the leader of the PeaceKeepers, to declare that a state of war exists with the Church. "What a tangled web we weave" was the comment Miriam said when told of the PKs decision.

The actions of the Church have been nothing but friendly towards these 2 factions. Including gifts of technology. Comments like "this gift will be remembered" hold little water when shown in the light of recent actions. Once the leaders realize that they are only hurting themselves, (through the loss of trade amongst other things) will perhaps re-consider their recent decisions.

Thanks for asking. The party went fine, except of one thing. For a special gift commerating Planet fall, The scientists at New Jerusalem made a special machine that will telepathicly read the scripture to you while you sleep. When this gift was presented to Miriam, she asked "How do I turn it on?" The scientist turned on the switch, it wirred of a few seconds, then quite audibly went "BLAH" and started smoking. Sister Miriam stated "See, science is an abomination, and has no place in the Church."

Lee: Seargent, I always welcome your questions, but there is more to this than you realize. trying to control wild life forms is unpredictable. We will be communicating with the Gaian leader as to her intent. We gave our word we would not involve them in the UoP battles, and our noble standing will not be compromised. You have your orders, send the message.

Sarge: Yes sir. But what about the UoP troops nearby?

Lee: Negotiations are under way. The Provost has stated he will not attack if we withdraw.

Sarge: I hope the word of the Provost is more honorable that that of the Gaian troops.

re: Status o the Believer, University, Hive frontier

We reached the coordinates given for the eastern most University city, late last week. Instead of finding a peaceful research out post we discovered a Believer Rover team, sitting in the still smoking ruins of a Supercollider and a Optics research lab.
Having had no explicit orders from High Command, other than to help defend this peaceful research center, I took the initiative to do what we would have done had we arrived only a week earlier.

We are sure that the Rover team was expecting neither conventional assault or the devestations of a controlled Worm attack, they took moderate damage before quickly retreating to the northern hills. Since our directive was to defend the site I further chose, against my natural instincts to call back the Boil and not pursue the Rover team and finish what we had begun. Obviously our presence has no doubt been reported to The High Believer, we do not know if their are refugee scientists in the area or not.

We are awaiting instructions as to where we should proceed from here.

Further more we are still awaiting the promised supplies and reinforcements.

I now see the a couple of official Black and Green Environmental Services Trucks pull up to the edge of the Greens here. Two film crews have set up there cameras quite quickly and they are now filming the members of the protest.

Ahh here comes one of the E.S. team members now, let us see what he has to say.

"I apologize Mr Phreelie, but you will have to discontinue your broadcast at this point. As you see we have two official film crews here and they will record the rest of today's proceedings and then you will be supplied with the footage and information that you may use for your own piece later on."

I don't understand I and PNN have always had permission to broadcast as we please, this is outrageous.

"Sir no disrespect is intended, and your superiors can take this up with mine, but I have my orders. Your broadcast will terminate now and you may resume later using our footage and with our approval." Peacekeeper News Networks report the latest atrocities committed by the fanatic "Believers", a cult headed by Sister cousLee.

Shortly after our declaration of vendetta, a diplomatic mission on its way through the borehole cluster, under a white flag, was ambushed and slaughtered by Believing forces massing on this island. Our people, under orders to seek an equitable peace arrangement, refused to defend themselves, and withheld their fire even as they were brutally cut down to the last person.

Shortly after this, the foil transport which had dropped off this brave team was likewise ambushed and destroyed by a Believer Gatling foil while on route to the newly established base at U.N. Sea Habitat.

Following this further unprovoked attack, another Believer Gatling foil destroyed the base and the trance foil which was to make another attempt at contacting these maniacs and arranging a suitable peace.

It is clear that the Believers will settle for nothing less than total world domination and are seeking to impose their rigid doctrines upon all of the freedom loving people that have made this planet their home. It is also clear that they will slaughter all those who will, in peace, oppose them. Therefore, an emergency mobilization is being called, to protect our people and our way of life and to defend our bases against the incursions that we anticipate these fanatics will attempt. Every able bodied man and woman will be trained and armed with the most advanced weaponry and we will prevail. Peace will once again reign on this planet. We will ensure this if we have to convert or bury every last follower of this deranged lunatic. To arms my friends, to arms!

In review of the past news, PK forces attacked our settlement near the borehole cluster. The brave converts of the base defended it well, and crushed the invading PK armies.
Today, intelligence reports showed the PK leader was planning another invasion and assult. They had built a base as a jumping off point, in Believer territory. They had ammassed their naval forces for the assult, and were waiting on their troop arival. As a defensive strike, the PK naval units were sunk, and the Base that was built was destroyed to restore the borders to their original point before the PK forces invaded. The North Fleet has orders to enact a naval blockade, to prevent the PK forces from any further incursion into Believer territory. Since all previous attempts to sign a truce with the PK leader have been ignored, it was decided to maintain our defensible borders.

Evidence was found in the files at University Base, that the Provost has performed bizzare experiments on his own DNA. It would appear his irrational behavior is a sever side-effect of these "treatments" he was giving himself. We are trying to reach the Provst and help in administering medical care to restore his mind before it hits the "gel" point. Unfortunatly, he managed to escape to a nearby base before our medics could help him. The people in University Base that were also subjected to his experiments have been treated. A few were in the more advanced stages of Gel, and remain comatose while the medical staff work franticly to find a reversing agent to the chemicals the Provost injected them with. The elite Resurrection Squadron reports the Provost should be in custody within the year.

This just in!, The Church of Planet has signed a treaty agreement with the Spartan Federation. The Colonel Santiago assured Sister Miriam, that unlike the Gaian and PK leaders, she intends to honour the Treaty between our nations. We'll give you more on this late breaking event when we have more to report.

The captured Virtual World transmitter, is going to be used to broadcast news events, the procedings of the revival sweeping the former UoP bases, and the reconstruction efforts of those areas riddled by the war caused by their former leader.

The faction headed by the deranged lunatic, cousLee has been offered a suitable set of conditions for the cessation of hostilities. These have been forwarded by open commlink channels in hope of reaching the masses that he has deceived and has since termed his "flock". They are as follows:

1) A payment of 500 energy credits to the War Orphans Adoption Fund at UN Headquarters, as reparations for the atrocities the Believers have committed on their sweep through the University of Planet's lands and the destruction of our base at UN Sea Habitat.

2) The transfer of his files on Advanced Military Algorithms and Advanced Sub Atomic Theory to our researchers. This is necessary to determine whether such technologies are in accordance with the UN Charter. We will, as fair and impartial judges and the legitimate seat of the Planetary Government, determine whether they have been misused by the Believers. If so, then we will file War Crimes charges against those responsible.

As you can see, we have offered a fair and equitable peace to the Believers and it will remain up to them to determine whether there will be further bloodshed or not.

What kind of sick person would ask orphans to swim across the sea, only to be placed in sub-standard quarters, and made wards of a greedy state.

If your scientists would stop deserting your outdated facilities in favor of our own, you might discover some technology on your own. Perhaps you should build a few phalanxs in the meantime. Of course, that is assuming you have discovered "that" tech.

I will restate the position of the Church. ANY interference with CoP troops, will result in decisive and permanent actions by the CoP forces. It is up to you, how far this escalates.

In a closely fought naval battle just off the southern coast of our homelands, our glorious navy fought off superior numbers of Believer naval units and sent the remnants of this once great fleet scurrying back to the safety of their bases. Many prisoners were taken, including several hundred brain-stapled former UoP citizens who were lashed to the outside of the Believer skimships. Though many, unfortunately, were killed in the collateral fire as our Gatling skimships ripped apart the enemy ships, the survivors were, without exception, thankful to have been rescued. Almost to a soul, they have all volunteered to join our ranks and fight the "Orange Scourge" that has enslaved so many of their friends and families. The others, it seems, were so heavily brain-stapled that they have not regained their basic motor skills and have remained speechless. They do, however, seem to smile a lot, now that they are free from this shameful bondage.

Lee: (sarcasticly) "She thinks we should consider the recommendations by WaSTE." sighs, and picks up the cowering chihuahua and begins to pet the animal again. "What do you think, Seargent"

Sarge: "I think your five legged dog is hungry." (smiles, trying to lift the General's spirits).

Lee: Laughs out loud, lights a cigar "Perhaps we should clone him a cat?" the General said while giving the dog a goobysnack

Sarge: "Well, I know the forces support you, and they trust your judgement. The moral of the troops has never been higher. Are you considering that OTHER option?"

Lee: "Silence Seargant! You know that is treachery! Treason has no place in CoP forces"

Sarge: "Of course sir, I was only commenting on the rumours going around the drone compound.

Lee: "lets walk over to the barracks, I want to have a talk with these drones".

The PK gattling ship that attacked and sunk one of our ships in the North Sea, was unable to complete it's repairs and flee before reinforcements arrived. The sister ship destroyed the PK vessel. The remainder of the North Fleet, proceeded to the planned coordinates unimpeaded.

Two large Gaian Mindworm units were destroyed while the Resurrection Squad was defending the Border on the Eastern Front. It is reported, one of the units was the notorious "Little Worm" that had previously attacked our troops.

Details have not been received yet regarding the assault against the last UoP base. The Church has called an emergency session of the administration members. We will give you more details as they come in.

I am here with a final remaining band of University Warriors and Scientists, as well as Provost Zhakarov.

An elite Band of University Campus Security forces spirited the Provost away from the clutches of the Believer Resurrection Squad and their Inquisitors.

The Gatling Speeders and Defense garrisons were no match for the overwhelming forces of the Resurrection Squad.

Zhakarov had been captured and was being held, and possibly even interrogated by the inquisitors, when the Elite Campus Security troops were able to gain access to the building through heating tunnels. They had a brief fierce fire fight in the halls of the Univerisity's Philosophy building, and then they rescued the Provost.

Reportedly the Provost was quite shaken by the whole ordeal and has not spoken with anyone other than close advisors up to this point.

I have been told that I will be granted a special interview with the Provost any moment.

Yes, here he comes now.

Provost, Thank you for taking the time to speak with me.

Yes Ian, I have been impressed with the impartiality of your prior broadcasts. You are the one who needs to take my message to the world.

Yes sir, though I must say that I am surprised that you are willing to let a Believer controlled media release your story.

The Believers are not what I had thought. My presence here attests to that. The Believers had the Campus in Zoloto-Gold surrounded, they released me.

Yes my security troops stormed the Philosophy building, but after the firefight General cousLee himself showed up and ordered that we be released.

They do not support our research, they are simple followers of their lord. I do not understand how people can make those choices. I was impressed with their mercy once we had been captured.

They are fierce warriors when you oppose them or interfere with their faith. But when you no longer are threatening to them, they can show remarkable forbearance and mercy.

That is the message I needed to broadcast to the world. I must go now, we need to select a new home and start our more peaceful research a new. Thank you for your time.

UN naval forces continue to exert their dominance of the seas! A Believer Gatling flotilla was destroyed as it attempted to intercept the invasion force heading for Voice of God. Our skimships came out of the rising primary and surprised the enemy and quickly dispatched the Believer flotilla with no losses to our own squadrons, once again proving the technological and moral superiority of our cause.

The final assualt on the last UoP base was a success. The Provost was allowed to leave, along with his private guards. The medics attached to the Reserruction Squad were able to find the Provost before "Gel state" had set in. The medication was able stop the progression of the condition caused by his self-experiment. He was allowed to set-up a new settlement, and was given a supply of the medication to continue his recovery treatment. All remaining samples of "Compound M13" as the Provost called it, were destroyed by the Provost himself.

The Church will provide patrol for the UoP, until such a time they can establish defensible borders around their new settlement. The Provost requested a time of no contact, so that he could concentrate on his recovery.

The Pact relation with the Morganite Faction was ended, when the Church refused to declare Vendetta on another nation. It Decided by the Church, that the current state of world war on the planet needs to be resolved, and another series of battles would only prolong this tragic time. CEO Morgan stormed out of the meeting, after declaring the Pact null and void.

Under the terms of the previous pact, an automatic treaty has been put into place. All Morganite Troops were returned to their respective bases. Travel between the two nations has been ceased until tensions calm.

The PK Navy has again tresspassed into Believer territory, and attacked another scouting vessel. The bodies found floating near the attack, indicate some crew members were captured and molested by the PK sailors, before being thrown naked into the icy waters on the North Sea. The majority of the citizens at New Jerusalem congregated outside of Church HQ for a candlelight meeting to pray for the souls of those lost, and their families. A number of them also carried signs that said "PK? Peace Keepers or Peverted Killers" and "The Blood on the hands of Lal will soon be his own".

In another example of Peacekeeper naval superiority, our forces spotted and engaged two Believer foil squadrons closing in on our invasion force from opposite directions. Gatling flotilla 3a destroyed the eastern Believer force and then fought off an Isle of the Deep which surfaced from beneath the fungal beds to feed on the bodies of the hapless Believer sailors. Not even Believers deserve such a fate and we did what we could, under great personal risk to our own crews, to rescue these poor souls. We have attempted to hail the commander of the rapidly approaching western Believer squadron to turn over these ragged survivors but he has not respond and is showing battle colors. Our fate is uncertain, but we are prepared to give our lives for the cause of justice and freedom. Tell my wife and daughters, that I love them, always.

There comes a time, when the actions of a leader demand a replacement. Contrary to my recommendations, Sister Miriam ordered the suicide of the North Fleet by following the advice of WaSTE.

There is also a ship that is under the control of Captain Benny. This rogue captain used the ship to defect from the faction. The captain is free to leave, but must return the ship. This ship is considered a terrorist vessel at this time.

A mayday was heard today from a PK vessel. The message stated it was being attacked by the rogue Believer Captain Benny.

This is more propaganda by that NUTCASE UN Leader. His attack vessel was approached by Jihad loyal forces. The ship was begining a transmission of PK secret technology. We blocked this posion transmission and executed the traitors of the PK faction. The Church has no need for more evil human technology.

After attempting, yet failing, to hail the Believer foil coming from Voice of God to attck our invasion fleet, we turned to engage the enemy. Though badly damaged from our encounter with the indigenous lifeforms we attacked and destroyed the enemy foil in night battle fought in a patch of sea fungus covered by heavy fog. Upon searching the wreckage of the enemy squadron for survivors we discovered that what was initially reported as a Gatling foil battlegroup was actually a terraforming team which was elaborately disguised as a combat group. It should be noted, that the enemy environmental engineers fought with more courage than the usual Believer naval crews. We are, however, slightly confused to their battlecry of "Death to Captain Benny!" as they engaged our forces. Especially since all of the ships in our squadron are decorated with nautilus bowsprits. Tell my family that I'm coming home.

"I am extremely disappointed in the consideration granted to the measure, proposed by Chairman Aredhran to repeal the UN Charter. I believe this will lead to untold misery and inspeakable atrocities being perpetrated by the more desperate and warmongering factions on this planet. I urge Lady Goobmeisterin to vote against this measure, this... abomination. Surely, her Ladyship, the rational and just leader of the Gaians can see that, should this measure pass, the already disgusting display of genocide being waged by the Believers would sink even further into barbarity. I urge you to join CEO Morgan and myself in defeating this...

Our elite commandoes slipping under the noses of the Believers defense forces have discovered the key to the high morale of the Believer Armies. In a daring night raid at Throne of God our team destroyed a brothel and liberated the women (and men) who were enslaved in this establishment for the sexual amusement of the Believer troops. We can only wonder at the hypocrisy of these religious fanatics when they can so euphemistically term these establishments "Recreation Commons".

Our many thanks to the PK "Elite Commando" (oxymoron) for it's splendid display of military prowess. The destruction of the abandoned and condemmed building not only shows the "quality" (HA) of the PK navy, but saved the Church from having to pay to have it disassembled.

I am sure Sister Miriam is gratefull, perhaps thats why she voted in favor of UN repeal.

We are pleased to announce the Jihad have signed a pact with the Spartan faction. At the banquet where the signing took place, the General stayed for a while and sampled some of Santiago's finer "cusine". The General laughed when we asked what was on the menu.

Sister Miriam voted today in favor of the Repeal UN Charter that is before the commitee. She stated that the vote was irrevelant, UN laws have no jurisdiction on the Believer's Territory.

In a furious naval battle off the coast of Believer occuppied lands, our navy has continued to demostrate its superiority by destroying yet another Believer foil squadron. Unfortunately, at this time we don't have news on Commander Nemo as his foil went down among the kelp beds staving off the vast numbers of Believer foils. It was this display of courage under fire, that held back the Orange Horde long enough to allow the other ships of our invasion fleet to counterattack and destroy the enemy squadron.

"On this sad and grievous day, the Planetary Council voted to repeal the UN Charter. The dissenting votes were cast by our delegate, our stalwart ally Lady Goobmeisterin, and the Morganites. Unfortunately, we were defeated.

In addition, the Spartan Federation, under the promptings of the Evil Believers, have renewed their vendetta against us.

It is clear that the forces of reason are outnumbered by the forces of aggression and evil intent. It is with this news in mind, that I ask for the support of every able bodied man and woman in Peacekeeper territory. Please go to your nearest command center and register for active service. Our way of life must be preserved and we will institute a general mobilization to ensure that we will not only survive, but prevail.

All citizens are also urged to receive training in the use of gas suits in the event that our enemies resort to the barbarous act of employing nerve agents in their attacks on our troops or bases.

On to Victory!

One of the ships loyal to Miriam was sent on it's maiden voyage today. As soon as the skiff slid into the thick fungal bed near the shipyard, it detected a PK foil believed to be that of the criminal Capt Nemo. The training of the crew was displayed, as with a single artilley shot, sunk the invading foil. A faulty drive shaft prevented our ship from being able to move, and was destroyed by another of the PK vessels in the area, who chose to attack the derelict vessel. The crew was able to able to abandon the sinking ship, and make way back to the base in the lifeboats. Only one Seaman was lost, and that because he got tangled in the fungus while helping others into the lifeboat. The mother of the lost crewman stated, that giving one's life to save another is Holy, and expected nothing less from her son. His body was placed in the Veteran's Cementary.

General cousLee was elected Planetary Govenor in a landslide win today. Sister Miriam stated she will honor the vote of the people. She will continue in her current role as the leader on domestic issues. The General will assume the role of Govenor, but stated he will remain in charge of CoP forces.

The General personally pulled the plug on the WaSTE computer, saying "No more of our troops will be sent to their doom by this machine".

Allthough we do not intend to use any nerve-agengts in our military actions, Gas suits have been issued to the general population in case the enemies of the Church choose to use this archaic and barbaric method.

As the Lady Dierdre is still in anguished shock over the fact that her fellow council members voted not only to repeal the U.N. Charters but also voted against having the Humanitarian Brother Lal elected as Governor, I Security Chief Lord Goob have temporarily taken command of the Lady's forces and internal concerns.

We agreed that for the time being I am better suited to deal with the current diplomatic and world military situation. Further communications will follow detailing any changes in Gaian policies.

Our Southern Fleet has announced the imminent fall of the Believer base of He Walked on Water. With the exception of a puny squadron of Laser foils which just reached the base from one of the many roach holes that dot Believer Bay, our navy has blasted all of the defenders to worm bait.

In a related development, Brother JAMiAM has called an emergency Senate meeting to determine support for the "scorched earth" policy suggested to him by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. This policy doctrine calls for the complete obliteration of Believer bases when they are captured. Any survivors from the assault are offered the choice of permanent neural control implants along with repatriation to the Mount Planet sulphur mines, the possibility of volunteering for biological experimentation, including mindworm host harvesting or a quick and painless death by a single shredder pistol round to the head.

Though privately appalled at the prospect of such barbarities, Brother JAMiAM is said to be leaning in favor of supporting this course of action by casting his 25% block of votes for the proposed policy. His comments on the record were "The fools voted to repeal the UN Charter! We can only assume that they mean to do the same to us!"

I am pleased to report that the Fat CEO will soon take part in a new project. He is to be the primary guinea pig - I mean, test subject for our new recreation facility, the Punishment Sphere.

To put it in the CEO's own words, "This is truly a great prospect. Thanks to the good Chairman, I will finally learn to understand the ascetic life of a repentent drone".
