Simutaneous turns is a game option when setting up the game for online play. You can set time controls also although IMO, that "rush" ruins the game. In simutaneous turns, you both move your units at the same time. If both players are moving units involving the same tile, one player will get a "wait, another player is resolving a move in the area" message. so chasing someone across the map should not happen. It is possible, for a player that had a base emptied, to get a unit into it before it can be captured, but i have not had this happen to me. Both players have to hit end of turn before the next turn advances. This is where time controls are most usefull. however, remember that if setting tight time controls, you are also subject to limited micromanagement time. I would suggest unsing no time controls untill you and your friend get use to the sim moves, then if you choose, that option can be selected. (unsure if time controls can be changed in game or not, you might have to save/re-launch to activate them). Hope this helps. |
