By now all that was left was the core bases.
Right now it was U.N. Great Refuge. He sighed and looked away.

"Brother Lal, sir" a young Talent approached him. Lal turned and looked at him. The Talent extended a PADD. Lal took it and quickly read it's contents.

Then quite unexpectedly he threw it against the wall. The PADD shattered in an instant.
Lal wheeled and walked quickly past the stunned and frightened Talent.

Chairman Sheng-ji Yang set down the PADD he'd been readin. He looked and nodded to the Talent standing stiffly at attention. He turned to Vice-Chairman Vitos Marana.

"U.N. Great Refuge is now ours" said Yang somewhat gleefully.

"Then we've broken the Peacekeepers back" said Marana. Yang nodded and swiveled in his chair. He tapped a button on his personal computer. A moment later an officer entered the room.

"Ah Major Krola come we have things to discuss" said Yang cooly.

Lady Deirdre Skye stood up from tending a rose bush and bruhed her hands off on a towel
proferre by an assistant. She then headed for her personal dais. When she arrived she a seat and sat back.

" I have Brother Lal of the Peacekeepers on Channel 3 shoul I put him through Lady ?" asked the Communications Officer.

"Yes put him through" said Deirdre. She watched as Lal's image wavered and then came into view. He smiled, although it was somewhat strained.

"Ah Lady Deirdre the beautifal. I have called on urgent matters. Chariman Yang's mindless minions have pushed right into my core bases. I need help urgently Lady" he said.

Deirdre motioned to close the link.She than pressed a button and called in her field commander. A moment later a swarthy dark complected man entered the room. She motioned for the link to be re-opened.

"Brother Lal this is my field commander Major
Kendasi. He'll advise me." Lal nodded and re-stated his plea. Immediatley Kendasi went to work.

He motioned to different places on the holo-map, all the while Lal was biting his lip.

"And for a finale it just isn't prudent Lady" said Kendasi. Deirdre looked up at Lal who looked like a man who had heard his death sentence, which in a way he had.

"Well, Brother you heard my commander's verdict" Deirdre said. Lal nodded.
