The Alpha Centauri factions, and the candidates they would favor in next year's elections...
Believers - Buchanan. Religious right-wing.
Gaians - Al Gore. Tree-huggers.
Hive - Hillary Clinton. Socialist tendencies.
Morgans - Forbes. Strong business skills and a platform focusing on economics.
Peacekeepers - Elizabeth Dole. Background with a humanitarian organization.
Spartans - Jesse Ventura. "The Body" could kick everybody else's butt.
University - George W. Bush. Stong on education, but draws sharp critics, which could lead to drone riots.

I was thinking this and This is what I came up with as a replacement for Ventura. Sure he's a wrestler but what about Colin Powell ?
After all he has military background
