Here's a new faction idea.

Droid Consullate-
+2 Efficiency- They're automatons
-2 Economy- They don't care if their rich
+1 Research- Built in Databases but lack intuition
No Drone Riots- They're cousins!
+1 Weaponry- They can have several kinds of weapon at once
-2 Mobility- They're just hunks of metal
+2 Flexibility/Sea Power- They don't need to breath
-1 Social Engineering- They don't care
-1 Diplomacy- Who's ever heard of a polite droid?
+2 Terraforming- They start out with Centauri Ecology
-1 Transcendant Thought- They don't think!
-1 Covert Ops- No imagination
+1 Armor- It's already built in

Any suggestions? It comes out to +1
Please respond.

How would you implement all this? It doesn't seem possible, by my understanding.

I know how to.

To give any faction "no drone riots" is way too powerful in itself. There are too many things to consider with this one, also. Look at my faction "genetically enhanced intellectuals"-- I need some opinions on what to do with it.

No Drone Riots isn't too powerful! What are you talking about?

I think they're slightly overpowered. I mean, no drone riots from the start of the game! That means you can run a free market only worrying about planet, no need to build rec commons, holo theatres, Paradise Domes, etc.! And, you can have a _large_ Free Market army, since there is no "pacifist" penalty and you have +1 armor and weapon.

Ever play a game on transcend level? Drones are a major factor there, and to never have to worry about suppressing them should warrant some SERIOUS penalties, on any even just moderatetly difficult level.

Well, first off they shouldn't be able to run a Free Market economy anyway, considering they're a bunch of robots with no imagination. Still, the drone riots make it too powerful.

okay, okay, Drone Riots can still happen!

WAY too powerful.

Seriously, this is like the perfect Faction. They'll steamroll towards any victory. Effeciency+knowledge make tech easy, and the extra armor+weapon makes fighting a breeze. Then you get +2 terraforming so you can raise your whole continent in half the amount of time it would take other Factions, especially with the Paradgim.

Just asking, exactly how would you implement this? I've never seen anything along those lines possible in a faction file, and I'd like to know.

And what do you mean "it comes out to +1"? Do you mean if you add all the negatives and positives you get a +1? There is much, much more to balance than numerics, sarummaine.

Well, I suck at designing factions so please don't be two harsh on me.
