I want people to tell us about the strangest war with anyone that they won. For example, in one game, THIS IS REAL, i had 3 bases and Santiago had 20. Then i took 15 of them with Yang helping out. OK.

as morgan i destroyed around 800 spartan units in a century long war.
scenario: new ground series - foundation (builder scenario)
available at: http://xenofungus.cjb.net

btw, in this scenario each faction have only 10 colony pods (pod option disabled)

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but it was kind of amusing in a poke-in-the-eye-with-a-sharp-stick kind of way.

I was playing Gaians. It was early in the game. I had maybe six bases established and no contact with any other faction. I had a couple of scouts running around popping pods, but no real military presence to speak of. One of my scouts popped a pod that generated *EIGHT* mindworms--pretty unusual for so early in the game. Unfortunately, the pod was on a penisula, so the eight mindworms had no place to go but right back into the middle of my territory. Oh, did I happen to mention they all had to pass a monolith?

That was a rather short, but strange game.

When I play the AI, I wait to call council until I have contacted everyone else and I have enough votes to get elected chair.

In this one game, before I can call council, the AI convenes it. I always thought the first order of business was to elect a chair, but no, they first decide to repeal the charter! Then Miriam gets elected chair. Then she gets the early vote-increasing wonder AND all the jungle territory and rapidly expands.

Then she decides she doesn't like me and declares vendetta. In all the games I've played this is the only one with a repealed charter serious war. She keeps nerve-gassing my best cities. She builds a PB but doesn't use it on me. (...What!?)

I can't say I won the war but I eventually transcended.

The other odd thing in that game was my city in the middle of the crater. It got hit by three separate "random" events.

RedFred: The events are random, but the distribution isn't uniform.
