Anyone got any tips for dealing with conventional missles? I'm losing nearly a half-dozen units a round due to a huge Hive missle stash. Is there a way to stop it, or do I have to suck it in, thank Yang and ask for another?

This is a recorded announcement:Try looking at some of the older threads for anti-missile tactics. Announcement ends. Beta-1 Feels like his life is an endlessly repeating cycle of questions about missiles. |

If you are playing trancend defense against them is hard. The best way is to leave your cities empty, and use cites that aren't being bombarded to build military units to conquer the hive. Make them surrender and you're done. I find them easier than spending massive resources rush building aerospace complexus, tachyon fields etc. Actually I never build tachyon fields anymore. I'll bring up an old thread on this. |

The idea of this game is that you cannot have everything your way. There is a defence but you have to change your style of play a little. The answer is simple, don't let your opponents become very strong. Finish the game early. If possible don't even let them discover missiles. Hit them hard and hit them fast. If you let the Hive with it's high production become strong, not only in population and territory but also in technology you have no one to blame for it but yourself. |

Thanks all, but I solved my own problem. I found the base where he was keeping all his missles, sent in a shard chopper, and well, the problem was resolved. When all else fails, take advantage of a predictable AI. |
