Are talents good for anything else besides balancing out drones in a city with drone riots?
I know that if a city has 50% talents and no drones then a golden age begins. But how do you include Golden Ages into your overall game strategy?

If your going for a maximum energy strat rather than max minerals then golden ages are useful. If your Lal with the appropiate SPs and facilities you can keep almost every city in a permanent golden age without upping your psych costs too much. This way all your cities pop boom + you get the golden age bonuses.

A Golden age is activated (on a base by base criteria) when there are NO drones in a base AND the number of Talents are equal to or more than the number of workers.
A Golden Age is NOT a faction wide occurance. Each base must be manipulated to meet the minimum requierments.
