The people who submit should tally the total and write which one they like, plus the faction they like with it.

I like Peacekeeper's with the Human Genome project, combined with Democracy/Green/Wealth/Cybernetic gives me golden age for every city size three cities. It also allows me to declare lots a war. I also always get to be planet governor because I always build at least 60 cities. This also allows me to build tons of units without the worry of drone riots and nerve stampling atrocities. To me this is the best combination for any level!

pointless survey. But I guess I could put the combo I stay in most of the time with my favourite faction

because my posts are more pointless than your surveys. It's just that everyone plays different factions and no se choice is best for all factions. Some can't even use some of the choices. So a better name would be what SE choices do you prefer for your faction?

Plus, SE choices are often changed within the game. For example:
Early game--Planned econ for growth. I'm still small enough that the inefficiency doesn't hurt.
Peacetime--Demo/FM. Let's make some money!
Wartime--Fundy. Crank out the good units and probes, and keep the enemy from sending probe teams.
Late game--at high levels, it is almost impossible to survive without going green. Planet is one mean mutha.
Wealth helps if you need more money. Power is useful in wartime, and knowledge is handy if you can get it.
My games generally end before the advanced societal choices (Borg/Eudo/1984)

I usually go green/power/eudiamonia, this is one bitching combination, you've got planet, economy and a military...

For me, most anything but free market or fundy. Free Market is death. The pollution and drones will kill you, and later in the game it doesn't really produce more energy than the others. Green is best. The reason I avoid fundamentalism is because of the research killer and the fact that fundamentalism is against my personal views.

I've also found it rather fun to play your faction. For instance, if you're Hive, go Police State/Planned (or green)/knowledge/Thought Control.
