Hi there!
Can somebody tell me when the game ends, for
each level of difficulty?

2500 for transcend and thinker
2600 for anything below thinker
unless you modify alpha.txt

Yay! I'm on Transcend and I thought it was 2400, so I have an extra entury! Yay!

Yeah the manual is wrong. I think it was something they changed in the last minute.

you guys are joking right? I keep rushing to get under the 2400 limit. no wonder my scores always seem a bit low!

I thought that it was for Librarian, Thinker and Transcend that the limit was 2500.

To think there was all that extra time to bore myself to tears micromanaging things.
Why give all the extra time? One of the things that have really made Transcend gamesexciting is knowing (erroneously, it seems) that I hvae to hurry up and finish.

You can always edit Alpha.txt to set Transcend back to 2400 if it makes you feel more virtuous.

AUGH! 2500 for Transcend? That means I've got over 200 years left. Now *I KNOW* I can break the program with an absurdly high population.
I currently have a population of 1900+ in 2290 with approximately a 75 increase to population each turn. With luck I should finish this game some time next year
Sometimes you just have to try to push the limits of a game even if it is just for laughs.
