I read in a previous tread that you could not upgrade unity units. I have in fact upgraded unity rovers but I have not yet found a way to upgrade a unity foil. (that 2 move a turn really blows)
In the above mentioned thread, there was a reply that a player (cant remember his/her name) did accompish upgrading a unity foil to a transport foil but did not say how.
If anyone knows how ....

I remember upgrading a unity foil to a transport foil. I don't remember doing anything special. Just use a foil chassis with some armor on it. Out in the screen I just hit ctrl u.

The key to upgrading the Unity units is the have to be better than the non unity verion of the unit so to upgrade a unity foil you either need better armour or a better reactor. I guess the "slow" modifier counts as a good thing to the unit workshop.
