Help!! I'm doing something completely wrong. I read somewhere else about score of almost 1000% (at Liberian/Thinker level) whereas I only reach ca. 250% (with all SP's, large pop. and trancsendend). What is the ultimate tip. What about a timeschedule with the status of your empire beside (which tech received, population, etc.).

Once you are actually capable of winning keep playing. Build hundreds of cities and grow your population into the thousands. Your final score will skyrocket.

Also, you get a + 25% for abundant native life and +25% (or maybe more) for ironman.

It is sort of fun to do once, but a bit boring (IMHO) after that.

Helps to use the largest map possible. - More space for your cities.

Yes, 200 * 200 gives you room for over 1000 cities. It is tedious, but if that is your style.

I don't have the patience to build that many cities myself, but I usually conquer that many cities anyway. I just make sure to build hab facilities in all of them and build massive numbers of sky hydroponic labs. At least 50 but closer to 100 is even better.

Ironman doubles your final score

The game I'm playing at present has a map 128x256. Current score is 6900 (approx), each turn takes about 45-50 minutes and the current date is 2295.

What's your processor speed? How much longer is that game going to last? You could be at that thing for another 200-300 hours, it'll be halloween before your finished.

I think for Rackam's case, he's just doing lotsa micromanagement of possibly 40+ cities (juz look at his current score), isn't it?
Processor shouldn't be the problem here.

Thanks all. So boosting up your population under Ironman atre the keywords here.
But how about micromanage your cities as there are hundreds, any good tips, as when I use Governer for cities, it eventually builds units or buildings I don't want, or is the queue the thing to do here (which 8 items are the best to build first for a newly founded base?).

Rackam:
Do I really have to spent 40-50 minutes per turn to manage all my units and bases properly?

laurens:
What about your remark of 40+ cities, my cities only reach 35 tops. Has this to do with the fact that you can only exceed 35 with supply crawlers stationed in the country (choice "o")?

Krushale:
What about the enormous eco-damage (followed by large amounts of mindworms attacking that particular base) when building Sky Hydroponic Labs? Is there a way, other than building the proper facilities or transform workers to specialists to diminish minaral output, to decrease the eco-damage?

In that game, I have over 200 bases on land and sea (each will be around size 30 when full) with half of these finished building base facilities and defences. I have 9 of the finished bases producing 6 drop formers and 3 drop colony pods each turn.

I'm using a very simple improvement system (as usual), tree farm/hybrid forest/magpole and flattening rocky squares and planting forests on all squares on land and fungus at sea (I'm playing Gaians).

Tech is currently at Transcendant 178 (I think) with blind on. I have 20 hover tanks and hover transports on land and 12 Isles of the deep at sea playing podlotto (there are so many :/) and I build a network node and a psi gate in each base.

I have eliminated Morgan (that will teach him to call me a whimpering green loonie).

I should explain why each turn takes so long. All of this is micro-managed. Every base, former, hovertank and isle is manually ordered.

I can hear the chorus loudly asking "WHY?"

Because I have an A type personality. =P

Also, I only build orbital defense satilites and each base is supported only by the resources in it's city radius.

Personally, I'm impressed with your achievements.

Never, ever, underestimate orbital improvements. They revolutionise my nation from being way ahead to being nowhere in sight!

Rackham, please right down your final % at the end of the game. And your score please.
