As the name suggests, this thread will be discussing two strategies--Aggressive conquering and pacifist building--and their advantages and disadvantages in a human multiplayer game.I suppose aggressive factions--if utilised properly--would be successful if they have an easy target faction to subjugate. Even having one protectorate under your belt can be decisively advantageous, especially if it is a high research faction. The research and military combination can be deadly. However, one would think that, once the other factions see the dominance of one faction, they would unite and try to destroy the dominating faction. A faction would be hard pressed to fight off a numerous front war.
Well, I have not played any multiplayer games yet, so these are just some theories. If anyone is interested in playing a PBEM, go to the 'Multiplayer' section and find the 'Starting PBEM' thread by me.
Well, I hope there are some veteran multiplayer people out there who could input their responses (or even just theorising people like me).
