posted 05-25-99 10:48 PM ET I am the Gaians in a Green Democracy playing on Trancendi. In the early game with only a +1 Planet rating I was capturing mind worms like crazy and killed Morgan with them. Now I have +3 and almost NEVER capture them. I realise you must have a full movement point remaining to attempt capture...Sometimes I get the message "Our Psi Talents inform us these worms are controlled by a much more powerful mind"...I think this is when you are attacked due to high eco damage...I also think maybe you can only capture worms with a lower morale than your unit...early in the game they were all hatchlings but now they are boils and the morale of my units still sucks (mostly green or very green). Anyway I have failed like 10 captures in a row...75% capture rate my butt! Anybody know what's going on? My mind worms mostly have good morale (a few Great Boils even) but even they can't capture worth a damn! I WANT MY FREE MIND WORMS!!!

Worm capture becomes progressively more difficult as the year goes by. Planet is becoming more sentient.
And while worm level is a factor, I have captured a stack of 16 Demon Boils with a single Hardened 1-10-1*3 Antimatter Sentinel with a +5 Planet rating. It's not impossible, just highly unlikely.

Capture rate is also dependent on how many you have currently captured.
Also, I think you're right about the eco damage. I think that boils created due to this aren't capturable, or it could be because of the morale but I doubt it.
There is some formula that shows the modifiers, check the datalinks.

Nah, I've grabbed worms fresh out of an eco-damage spawned fungus explosion. It really seems to be a matter of some wierd percentage thing.
