Hello ! I wonder what the parenthesis mean around certain units. for instance (20)-10-6 . I have looked through the instructions, but I couldn't find it.

That means that they are artillery. Meaning that they are pretty damn useless as the game stands now.

If you see <> it means it has air capabilities. Around the attack value, means it attacks planes; around defense, it has double defense agains air attacks. The tilde ~ is the notation for marine units. I know there is more, I just can't think of them now.

trippin, I disagree: artillery are useful to soften up a city before an assault. By significantly weakening all defensive units, an artillery bombardment prevents the AAA and ECM from killing my planes and my speeders.

Another way is to use Nerve Gas (X), and (as Santiago) for a few glorious turns I thought that was a great tool for a devastating mid-game attack -- until my allies turned on me (big deal), and Planet went bananas (fungus destroying all my improvements, worms sprouting from all directions at all my cities, and seas rising 2000 metres and more - oh oh!).
