"WOW!!!" said I, when computer used unbelievable tactic against me.
I was allied with the gaians, playing TI, and the hive was attacking me. Deirde gave me lots air units to defend my territory, but they created lots o' drones because i was using free market at the time. Guess what? My city rebelled and joined the gaians!!! Now what do you think of that?!? I'm not sure if the computer did it on purpose, but i was amazed.
Another time which wasn't very nice was when i was attacking the PKs with a needlejet, they tried to block my way so that my plane would
crash!! Sometimes the AI seems just too clever...
But tell me has anything like this ever happened to you

I once lost a couple needle jets to miriam. I was toying with the remainder of her cities, just bombing the crap out of her formers and garrisons, when, to my amazement, she cut off the jet in the middle of her island! I don't know if this was random... but it was kind of suprising.
