Author Topic:   Getting surrendered factions to stop vendettas

Here's the situation. Yang surrendered to me, then Miriam surrended to me. Then Santiago announces vendetta against me, and Yang and Miriam annouce vendetta against Santiago (with no prompting from me). I attack Santiago for a while, and eventually she surrenders to me. Now I can't get Yang and Miriam to call off their vendettas againt Santiago when I ask them to call off their vendetta against my friend. They claim they've been paid and must complete what they've been paid for! Is there any way to get them to stop? Thanks for any info.

Upgrade to Version 3 of SMAC and this bug will be fixed. I found this problem before aswell and now it does not happen.

I upgraded to version 3 before starting this game so I don't think that's it.

Bossman, I also have v3.0 and have the same problem. Quite irritating at times.
BTW, does anyone know how to improve your rep once it has been damaged?

Maybe it'll improve over time? I don't know, but if not, I can't remember any other way...
