When Gaia's Stepdaughters landed on Planet, it was the beginning of a new age, a time of peace. The scout patrols fanned throughout the land, and brought back fascinating samples of native life. It was a peaceful time. Contact was restored with Brother Lal, Prokhor Zhakarov, and Sister Miriam.

...................... The University War ......................

But Planet was not the Garden that Lady Skye hoped it would be, for Zhakarov sooned showed his lack of morals and ethics by aggressively expanding toward the Gaian Homeland. Forced to fight, the Gaian High Command mobilized the Impact Squads and Mindworm squads and quickly brought the misguided residents of the University of Planet to heel. Prokhor Zhakarov was exiled to his few remaining sea bases after acknowledging his debt to Lady Skye.

...................... The Time of Conflict ......................

The subjugation of the UoP was completed shortly before Brother Lal convened the first Planetary Council and was elected to the post of Governor with the pivotal support of Lady Skye. The signing of a Pact of Brotherhood with Brother Lal showed Gaian High Command the precarious situation on Planet. Chairman Yang and Colonel Santiago was locked in conflict while Sister Miriam was expanding like a cancer upon the body of Planet, threatening the Peacekeepers and their allies, the Morganites.

It was determined by Gaian High Command that the Spartans were in a poor position and ripe for liberation. Lady Skye approved the expedition, as the memory of her capture by Colonel Santiago has not faded from her mind.
...................... The Believer War ......................

Plans went under a sudden change when the Believers initiated an assault upon the Gaian Homeland, landing several Missle Squads and Plasma sentinels near Bushuvii Dvor. Incensed by this attack and concerned with the continued assaults against her Pact Brother, Lady Skye ordered the war effort to be redirected toward the fanatics of Miriam.

By the beginning of the 24th century, Planet was locked in a Cold War. Every major faction was now armed with Chaos, Tachyon, and Shard weapons with Siksteel armor.

The Believers had the largest territory and army, but their technology was behind. Despite having Chaos Gun technology, the vast majority of units were missle-based.

The Hive had swallowed most of Spartan territory, and was rapidly pumping out cruise missles to harass and annoy their neighbors.

The Peacekeepers were almost as advanced as Gaia's Stepdaughters, but their industrial might was weak by comparison. However, Brother Lal appeared to have Morgan Industries firmly in his corner, adding to his economic capability.

...................... The Hive War ......................

After stalemating on the Believer Front, it was Gaian High Command's belief that it could not mount a successful campaign against the Believers if they also had to constantly replace the garrisons of frontier cities due to Hive bombardment. The Hive Expeditionary Force was assembled onto the transports and quickly ended Chairman Sheng-ji Yang's time upon Planet. Upon his arrival in Gaia's Landing, Chairman Yang was sentenced to a Punishment Sphere for the remainder of his multi-century lifespan.

...................... The Second Believer War ......................

Fresh from the victories of the Hive War, the Hive Expeditionary Force was brought home and refitted with the latest technology, Probability Sheath. The army was reorganized in the BEF and dispatched to the stalemated Believer zone with heavy air support.

Upon making a successful landing and capturing several bases, the BEF looked to be well on its way to expanding the BOZ and capturing Sister Miriam. But the entire progress of the conflict halted when a Believer Planet Buster hit the BEF. The resurgent Believers retook much of the BOZ although Gaian High Command retained control of New Jerusalem, which no doubt infuriates Sister Miriam.

...................... The Planetary Crisis ......................

The situation worsened for Gaia's Stepdaughters when the Peacekeepers stepped up their actions. Gaian Intel had been observing with trepidation the buildup of military units in Peacekeeper territory, but the flights of Morganite Shard Penetrators were an unpleasant shock.

At the same time, the University of Planet turned their back on their long-standing peace treaty with Lady Skye. Although Zhakarov was promptly hunted down and brought in for punishment, the loss of commerce was devastating to the major trading cartels in Gaia's Landing.

...................... Ecological Disaster ......................

The accumulated eco-damage wreaked by the various factions upon Planet has come to roost. Rising sea levels have forced the Gaian High Command to divert industrial resources into former squadrons. Their efforts to secure the Gaian Homeland from sinking into the ocean are often hampered by aerial assault from rival factions.

However, Gaian Intel does observe with some satisfaction that other factions are not as successful at keeping their territory dry. Over 40% of Peacekeeper territory is now underseas, with Mount Planet being no more than a minor island at this point.

...................... The Second Coming ......................

The lull granted to R&D by the distraction of rising sea levels has yielded great results. At long last, Orbital Defense Pods are ready in Planetary orbit and have already proven their value in stopping two PB assaults upon Gaia's Landing by the Believers.

The surge of technological advances has spurred a new era of construction and rearmament in Gaia's Landing. The newly constructed Space Elevator has simplified the task of reinforcing frontier bases, and the addition of Quantum Laser to the arsenal promises great things for the future.

On the Believer front, Miriam is slowly but surely being pushed back by the BEF. Despite losing the occasional battle to Shard Rovers, the Drop Quantum Shock Troops of the BEF has occupied 3 bases of population 7+ in the last 5 years.

The Peacekeeper Navy is turning out to be quite annoying, forcing cruiser probe teams to take roundabout routes. However, the advent of Singularity Engines has made missle bombardments far less effective, and only one seabase has been lost in the last decade of naval combat. At the same time, Cruiser probe teams have seriously damaged the infrastructure of PK border cities.

We have just received confirmation that 4 squadrons of Drop Quantum Shock Troops have surprised and taken UN Disaster Relief. The capture of the Cyborg Factory should seriously hamper Brother Lal's attempt to contest Gaian Hegemony.

You are good/lucky to have got your missile defense satelites up. I just finished a thinker game last night and was PB'd every 20th turn or so by Yang because I could not get to that tech fast enough. Was losing a size 15 bases every 20 turns man, ugh.

The pace of orbital activity has vastly increased here in the Gaian Homeland. It seems you can't turn around without seeing a new satellite readied for launch or a Drop troops readying for an orbital insertion.

The number of near space satellites have increased to 27, with 11 of them being ODPs constantly on alert for questionable activities. Perhaps alarmed by the attempted assault on Gaia's Landing, Brother Lal and Chairman Morgan has both launched their own ODPs. Gaian Orbital Command remains adament, however, that the enemies of Lady Skye will not benefit from the bounties of space. Two Morganite Hydroponics Labs and a Peacekeeper Nessus Mining Station has been destroyed thus far.

The discoveries in the recent years has dramatically changed our relationship to Planet. We are now able to fully exploit the resources of the Xenofungus, harvesting vast sums of food, mineral, and energy from each fungus acre. Former squadrons are in the progress of converting most Gaian territory to Forests and Fungus to fully exploit our new discoveries.

However, Xenofungus are being pruned away from the boundaries of cities. Huge swarms of Mindworms and Locusts of Chiron has been detected in the recent past. Two infestations of over 20 Demon Boils have been found in the last year alone. Special Worm Hunter 'Copter units are being formed, as the last eruption of 16 Locusts of Chirons required troops from nearly half of Home Army to put down.

We are coming to you live from UN Disaster Relief in the Peacekeeper Occupation Zone. There is an unbelievable influx of Gaian units in progress. Over a dozen Drop Singularity Shock Troops have been inserted already and are in the process of being re-fitted into GravBlink units. What is most amazing is that these troops were first mobilized only 2 years ago. Gaian productivity has reached the point where nearly 10 elite units join the Armed Forces every year, along with various garrison units being organized simultaneously.

Looks like the next few months are going to be interesting ones. The PK Expeditionary Force commander, Major General Lindy, confidently expects that her command will take all the cities in this sub-continent in less than 2 years.

Gaian R&D has confirmed in a recent press release that not only is Planet sentient, it is growing close to a level of activity which will make it impossibly hazardous to live on Planet. In response, Lady Skye has authorized the construction of a new Project, the Voice of Planet. The Voice is expected to allow us to communicate more clearly with the Xenofungus network and perhaps negotiate a truce with Planet.

............................................ Conflict upon the Seas ............................................

The planet-wide naval situation has gradually come under control. The seas, previously the domain of PK cruisers and Believer needlejet, are now being supplanted by the Gaian Fleets.

Over two dozen Singularity/Stasis Sub-AAA Battleships have fanned out across the oceans, first securing our perimeter, but now moving forth to capture the vast number of bases submerged in recent years. Resistance has been spotty so far, but Intel does see the other faction's navies responding. Scout Gravships are ranging ahead, making sure no surprises await the Fleet.

The celebrations here at Gaia's Landing appears to be reaching full swing now. For far too long, the usurper Lal has used his position as Planteary Governor to disadvantage the Gaians' rightful hegemony over Planet. The recent Planetary Council changed everything.

The pivotal moment was the capture of the Empath Guild and the Longevity Vaccine by Major General Lindy's PK Expeditionary Force. Without the artificial support of these Special Projects, Brother Lal was forced to resign his post in shame, despite the unified support of Sister Miriam, CEO Morgan, and Colonel Santiago.

All Hail Governor Skye of Gaia's Landing!!!

In sadder news, Gen. Lindy was killed in an unfortunate incident when an Believer missle barrage hit her forward Command Post. In her memory, Lady Governor Skye has renamed UN Headquarter to Lindy's Rest and vows vengeance against Sister Miriam.

The global war is drawing to a close, as the huge productivity of the Gaian Homeland is slowly but surely overpowering its enemies.

Brother Lal's Peacekeepers are now in full retreat, with no land bases remaining under his control. The PKEF has handed off responsiblity in the theatre to the 2nd and 3rd Fleet. Third Fleet has recently been reorganized in order to allow construction of units from captured bases in the PKOZ instead of waiting for reinforcements from the mainland. Instead of Singularity/Stasis Cruisers, the new Third Fleet are armed entirely for Psi combat.

............................................ Victory at Sea ............................................

Admiral Stubeck of Fifth Fleet, assigned to the Believer Occupation Zone, has reported the capture of the last of Miriam's seabases. Despite vicious counterattacks by Believer Isles of the Deep and Cruise missles, Fifth Fleet has systematically proceeded through the entire western zone of the BOZ, leaving behind only non-combatant units.

At long last, the objective is now in sight. I am here with the Believer Expedition Force, and the leading elements are now bombarding the Voice of God, the last bastion of Sister Miriam. Even from here, we can hear the distinctive sounds of the Singularity Lasers firing into.....

Hold on a moment, there seems to be a commotion on the left flank. Oh my!!!!!

The unthinkable has happened, Sister Miriam Godwinson, the great Satan who has twice attempted to murder Lady Skye with cowardly PlanetBuster attacks, is now in Gaian custody. Look at those men cheering!!
